Trip Report “Parents please supervise your children, and children please supervise your parents” 2018 Graduation Trip Report! *COMPLETE*

Well, it’s been three days, but I’m back from “The World”. Still trying to recover and catch up on sleep :hilarious:. I was pretty exhausted, but we had a great time! The Disney depression has officially kicked in, but I’m hoping this TR will help alleviate some of the pain.

For those of you who are just joining and are wanting to know the Who, When, Where, and Why, feel free to read my PTR!

https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/the-captain-is-headed-home.940164/

This is my first TR, and the bar was set pretty high for first timers (cough cough @becca_ cough cough). Seriously, if you haven’t read her first TR, you need to! Anyways, I hope everyone bears with me and enjoys the 2,000+ pictures that I made, along with this TR! :)

Up next: Travel Day!

I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't mentioned, but I do see an outline of goofy's head, but without his hat. I think the part sticking out on the bottom right is his nose. It's still a stretch

I think I see it. It's a 3/4th side profile. He has his hat on and the things on the sides are his ears. He is faced to your (from the onlooker's perspective) right.

Edit: I kind of see this (please excuse this horrible 10 second sketch)

I successfully made a picture of Tumbleweed with one of the BTM trains passing by.

I got off at Fantasyland Station.
View attachment 303403

Then I walked down the “tobacco trail” to watch Lilly run by and caught a glimpse of the Tron construction.

I reversed my direction and went back to Storybook Circus where I found this marker on the ground that I’d never seen before.

At the top it reads, The Walt Disney World Resort, and at the bottom, Survey Marker. Anyone know what exactly this is? I’m very interested by it.

I got a text from L saying that she and M were at Tomorrowland Terrace, so I headed there next so we could regroup.

Next up: More MK
A survey marker is a known reference point or benchmark which can then be used a starting point for other surveys. They can go to the documentation for that marker and know the EXACT coordinates and elevation for that marker. Using the survey marker and a differential GPS they can than then survey points in the area within an inch.

Leaving TSI

The Injun Joe was ready to take us back to the mainland.

We wanted to get some pictures in front of the Mickey flower bed, so we hopped on Lilly and were on our way to Main Street Station.

Ok y’all, here’s where the title comes in. As we were about to depart Frontierland Station, the conductor was finishing up announcing the safety spiel. Her soft, pleasant voice began to change, and she angrily yelled into the microphone, “and one more thing, parents please supervise your children, and children please supervise your parents! That is all! Thank you!”.

I take it that something happened between Main Steet and Frontierland. :hilarious:

FAF1FE85-7E83-4182-A7EF-F519B524FB99.jpeg

We arrived at Main Street Station and grabbed some PP pictures out front. Then we wandered around the town square. I saw another lonely PP photographer that needed something to do.

I was trying really hard not to laugh. Some kid (12ish) had just run up to Roy (metal statue) and punched him in the face. Then he started to whine and complain that he’d hurt his hand. :hilarious: Sorry kid, no sympathy from me. You were dumb enough to punch it.

Y’all should have seen the look on the PP photographer’s face. She looked at me and asked, “Did he seriously punch Roy?!”.

M and L wanted to get a snack from the bakery, so we went our separate ways. I had plans in Adventureland.

There was something in Adventureland that I’ve always wanted to do, but never had the time to do it, until today.

A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas!

I was blown away by all the detail inside the Enlistment Quarters.

Y’all should be able to see why I wanted Heads You Lose so badly.

I didn’t take any pictures, but with the help of Jack and Hector, I found the treasure of the Pacific Ocean!

I returned to the Enlistment Quarters to claim my treasure, then met L for our BTM FP.

After our wild ride through the wilderness, L headed to Fantasyland to meet M, and I went back to the Enlistment Quarters in hopes of completing one more map before they closed.

I was assigned Guardian’s Curse, and was off on a quest to find the treasure of the Indian Ocean. Unfortunately my quest was cut short. The sensor for the 2nd or 3rd mission wouldn’t work.

I went back to the Enlistment Quarters and told the CM what happened. He went ahead and stamped my map as completed and gave me my treasure. Since I had completed 2 maps, he also gave me a FP for Pirates.

Overall, A Pirate’s Adventure is a lot of fun! The maps don’t take long to complete, and you could easily do all 5 in an hour or less. I’m so glad I set time aside for it! I will definitely be playing it again on my next trip!

I decided to hop on the WDWRR so I could meet M and L, who were in Big Top Souvenirs. Once again it was Lilly!

I actually saw M and L as I was getting off. The three of us grabbed a spot underneath the tent next to Pete’s Silly Sideshow where the charging stations are. Don’t worry, I made sure I got written consent from the people sitting across from us that it was ok for me to charge my phone. ;)

After letting my phone get back up to 50% and discussing the game plan for the evening, we took advantage of a 10min wait for Dumbo.

I thought it was probably a spot for them to use when surveying the park, but wasn't totally sure.

After Dumbo, I had a FP for HM, but I didn’t use it, L did. Here’s what happened.

Earlier, L saw a FP come available for Space. Now L doesn’t particularly care for Space, do to the fact that it usually leaves her with a bad headache, but she knows it’s one of my favorites, so she went ahead and snagged the FP with intentions of me using it.

I felt like I needed to repay L, so I asked her what she’d like to ride and she said HM. Luckily there was a FP around the same time as Space and I was able to book it for both her and M.

So we pulled the old MB switch-a-roo.

And yes, L prefers the kiddie size. :hilarious:

M and L went on to HM. I still had about 25mins til Space, so I camped out around Fantasyland Station to get some more pictures of Lilly.

She was having a boiler blowdown, which is the process of ridding impurities from the boiler. If the impurities aren’t regularly blown out of the boiler, it could lead to a loss of steam production.

It’s always been a tradition to eat at CHH on our last night at MK, though M and L already ate there Wednesday night.

M got something but I can’t remember what. L didn’t get anything. She actually left early because she had a FP for something.

I got the shrimp and fish combo.
93FBE69A-3428-4FF9-BA41-78C073395A87.jpeg

I promise there’s shrimp and fish under the mountain of fries. ;)

We grabbed a table upstairs, but no window view.

Everything was good as usual. I’ve never had a bad meal at CHH. Good food, good prices, and large portions. And I love eating upstairs.

After we ate, M went to meet L, and I went to go use my Pirates FP.

Had to take some trash can pics on the way out.
