runDisney did not offer that this weekend as they had their own paid after party in Typhoon Lagoon. It was $85 to attend. Similar to H2O Glow Nights. Other race weekends do typically have a 50% off water parks deal for runners though.

I have done both. Savi's is a much better more intimate experience of the two. Is it worth another $150? I don't know. I also did it before the price hike so I "saved" a little bit there. I am glad I did it but wouldn't do it again probably.

Boston does not have a lottery, only qualifying time or charity. Of the majors Chicago is said to be the easiest of the lotteries to get in. Even then tho it's not easy. I have entered Chicago 4 times via lottery and not gotten in. I finally did charity for that one last year. Much like...

I suggest trying the NYC Virtual to get guaranteed entry. You can run a live marathon as your NYC virtual to count it as well. I did the virtual in 2020 to get entry for 2021. Worked out well that year because of Covid but still.

I went. I enjoyed the party. Was it worth the $85? Probably not but it was basically H2O Glow Nights for runDisney. So very little waits for anything. Low crowds, popcorn, ice cream and soda included. Character meets and a dance party. My group had a blast tho.

Another 19.3 for me. And my 100th runDisney medal this weekend.

Charity is the only for sure way now that registration is over. Spots do periodically pop up again but you need to be quick to get those.

Exactly. They mentioned when they started Springtime they could change up the distances year to year. We have yet to see that. I do like having a 10-miler but I do wish they would change things a bit more. Like including Animal Kingdom in a non-marathon course.

Not that I expected anything else but I wish they would mix it up one of these days.

The Boston medals for this year were definitely a choice. I find that the Boston medal is just one you don’t mess with.

Did they finish the rooms yet? This does mention rooms. The rooms were just remodeled or in the process this past year.
