Rumor Disney resort of some kind in Texas?

I'm in north Austin. I think the land Disney has bought in the Jarrell area (north of Austin) is either for one of the planned Storyliving by Disney communities (this would be an ideal place for it) or some type of data farm. Or both. If they were to build any parks here in TX -- I think north...

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I agree. And this is obviously the only reason it hasn't gone away yet. I could still see them clearing this property for more residential.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

All good points. And I haven't seen T@SD in person so you'd know better than me. I do think it can be a challenge to pull off whimsy with futuristic. Maybe through the use of kinetics? A stream running through the space with fountains, rocks, etc.? Futuristic windmills? Robots tending to the...

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

This would be the only plan I could probably get behind. A Frontierland old-style hotel, Western town, train connecting FW and WL, etc. They could even go full-schlock with daily gun fights, train robberies, etc. like the Tweetsie Railroad. But this would all require effort and money. Not gonna...

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I've said this before several times on these forums. I'm honestly shocked the campground has survived this long. I know it doesn't pull in nearly the same type of profit as the other resorts. And that's prime real estate. I can't believe they haven't tried to move it elsewhere on property...

I always liked a downsized version of this for the Land pavilion.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

It's so depressing to think about. I've been coming to FW since I was a kid in the 70's. It's a special place on property. And this project will completely change the resort forever. The bubble-within-a-bubble will no longer exist.

EPCOT DVC Lounge closing for refurbishment in June 2024

And I'm going to hold my breath.

EPCOT DVC Lounge closing for refurbishment in June 2024

I have no problem with spaces that were built for the sole purpose of being used as a lounge. But former public spaces should stay that way. The top of the Imagination pavilion needs to be restored to its former glory (with some updates) for all guests.

Rumor WDW is considering a Universal-like Express Pass

Just make park tickets $250/person and go back to stand-by lines.

EPCOT DVC Lounge closing for refurbishment in June 2024

I know they do these because they don't want to spend money on anything else. But this needs to stop. All the spaces inside the parks need to be open to all guests.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

This. I would GLADLY pay top dollar if I could get the experience for my kids that I got in the 80's/early 90's at WDW.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Is it just me or did they overuse the SSE triangles on this project? Current WDI/designers seem to have a real problem with editing. I don't know if it's a case of young/inexperienced creatives (or project managers) and/or design-by-committee. I've noticed this in recent years with many WDW...

WDI President Barbara Bouza is Resigning

This is activist-speak. And this is what you get when you hire/promote executives into high-level positions for reasons other than experience and merit. Frankly -- Disney gets all that it deserves here. At least it appears they're willing to try and course-correct. We shall see. Vaughn coming...
