I think there just refurbishing the actual memo ride. I am not a fan and preferred submarine instead as memo is lame but it is always a long line and the kids love it.

Your right you don't need to stay on site for dl it isn't the same as wdw and dl hotels are way pricer. I have stayed at the cheaper hotels and the more pricer. Hilton and Marriott are right across street and both nice options they have shuttles over to disney if you don't wanna walk as dl...

Not sure you haven't thought about this. But when my husband and I did wdw two yrs ago we bought a camel pak and just filled it up around park. It saved us money as my hubby drinks so much water. Also you can get a cup of ice and water for free at any stand or restaurant for free. I'm NorCal but...
