News Walt Disney World Offers Up to 25% Off Rooms for Early 2025 Stays

FWIW - I was at WDW Sept 7-15 and while there booked a bounce back offer for next year. Same dates, same hotel, same package, and the final cost was $5 LESS than what I paid for this year. I don't ever remember a cost carrying over one year to the next.

    Magical Extras Card

I used it for I think only the 2nd time last week at Boathouse - 10% discount. I think the only other time I used it was at Arribas Bros. (I think).

does every one get sick at Disney...

I have been going every year since 1997 and I can count on two fingers the number of times I have gotten sick. Both times it was a brief bout with Norovirus that worked its way through my system in less than a day. Not fun, but didn't take away from the trips overall. The last time was at least...

To those who rode the original 20k under the sea at DW, can you share your experience?

Rode it in 1972 as a 5 yo. Thought it was so cool to go so far deep underwater. Rode it again in 1985 as an 18 yo college student. Sooooooo disappointed when I realized we didn't go anywhere close to 'deep'.

Up Close With Rhinos - Super hard to get?

I believe it is. It's only offered once a day for a limited number of people. I tried it for my trip right at 60 days and it was booked for my AK day. I suggest you make it your first priority when your 60 days hits.

    Which Carriage Ride?

If you go during the holiday season, FW is the place to go. It's incredible how some folks decorate their campsites for the holidays and the carriage rides take you right by them. Port Orleans is a nice casual ride.

To Fan or Not to Fan, that is the question.

I have a small handheld rechargeable fan I will use when standing in queues. Helps cool me off from being outside as well as keep air moving while in the queue. My wife just bought me a neck fan that through testing while working outside tells me that it will be a good addition for my September...

    Your favorite Candlelight Processiinal presenter

My favorite was Marlee Matlin. She conveyed so much emotion with her hand movements while signing. I also enjoyedNPH, Gary Sinise, Trace Adkins. John Stamos was good too - you could really tell he enjoyed the entire experience.

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Are you going into the parks just looking for things to complain about? I just got back from a one week stay and I had plenty of fun. Yes I noticed some attractions down throughout the day and even was evacuated off of the People Mover. I didn't rope drop so I didn't see any of your so-called...

    News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2023

Touring Plans has empirical evidence that suggest party days have very low day crowds at MK.

do you have a strategic plan for the parks or do you just wing it?

I use TP to set up an initial agenda for each park day, then when I get in the park I let current conditions dictate if I call any audibles.

    JWST added to Mission:Space

FWIW - Just before the 'the space station should be coming into view now' narration following the launch, Disney inserted the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Granted, it is located nowhere near it's correct orbit, but I thought it neat that they would add that current events touch to the...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I just got back from a 1 week trip (6th-13th). Let me start by saying I can see how G+ would not generate the same successes if the parks were any busier than they were (highest TP park level was a 5 for EP, most of the rest ranged from 1s at MK to 3s at HS). But I enjoyed using G+. Like some...

News Major renovation coming to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course at Walt Disney World

I don't know that the scope grew as much as they wanted to keep the course a par 72. My guess is that the current 14th green will be moved to the tee box side of the pond fronting it, the new 15th tee will be where the current 14th tee is, then they will move into the woods behind the current...

    Disney After Hours BOO BASH

My .02: I have never done a MNSSHP, but several MVMCP. I attended the Boo Bash last Friday (9/10). I had a great time, enjoyed the short waits, and the free snacks (I honestly think I did eat $139 worth of ice cream sandwiches ;)). I saw Maleficent roll through Liberty Square, and did see the...
