Lord of the Rings: Return of the Rumor

Universal has been after LOTR rights for an extremely long time. Like longer than Potter long. The Tolkien estate is just not interested and if Universal changed their minds already then they would be shoving it into Epic Universe as their main attraction. It just will never happen, and I’m...

    Kidzone Replacement Poll

I think it’s ridiculous that Universal didn’t just turn KidZone into Bikini Bottom. People would go nuts, a recreation of The Krusty Krab would be the hottest dining option at the park. SpongeBob is arguably the modern Mickey Mouse as the iconic cartoon character of a generation, Universal has...

Universal Closing time is 6 PM on 6/3/15?!?! Any idea why?

Despicable Me is always going to hover around a 90 minute wait because of it's god awful capacity.

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

http://kotaku.com/nintendo-is-coming-to-universal-studios-theme-parks-1702765346 I didn't actually think Universal was capable of topping yesterday's King Kong news, but wow this is HUGE.

    Nickelodeon Remnants/Reboot?

Universal's relationship with Nick soured years ago, they've only kept rights to things like SpongeBob and Dora just for merchandising reasons. An actual attraction is very unlikely from everything I've heard.

    HHN25 content survey

So Universal sent out surveys only good for 24 hours today polling people about their ideas for possible content for HHN25. These included... -Jack the Clown -The Director -The Storyteller -The Caretaker -Hannibal -The Strain -American Horror Story -Ghostbusters -Universal classic monsters -A...

Jack the clown back for HHN25?

They have done Jack a lot, but it's a good sign that all the icons could be back for the 25th anniversary. He is the most popular and iconic so it makes sense they would tease him first. But give me Jack a billion times over The Walking Dead.

Jack the clown back for HHN25?

Today, Universal released a video thanking the fans for a great year of Halloween Horror Nights but ended the video with a teaser for next year. We see Jack and it shows us the event will run from September 25th to October 31st next year. It is incredible news if he's really coming back. Maybe...

    so, Horror nights

Giggles and Gore was far from the worst house of the year anyways, IMO. From Dusk Till Dawn was the big stinker of the year for me. Also, HHN22 was the worst one in recent memory for me.

    so, Horror nights

The majority of people have seemed to agree this year was a step up from the past several years. Mainly because they actually have scare zones again. The houses have been met with pretty good reviews too, every year will have a stinker or two so you can't judge the whole event based on a bad...

PHOTOS - First look inside the new Haunted Mansion gift shop - Memento Mori

I finally checked this out on Tuesday, incredibly tiny but some neat stuff in there. Nothing to get hyped up about, but hey it's a start. I really hope Disney starts selling more attraction related merchandise. Tired of seeing the same ol, same ol in every Disney store.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong from construction to opening

It's already been confirmed by about every insider it isn't the same thing. Some minor similarities, the finale may be a shortened version of the Hollywood tram tour but it's going to feature a lot of AAs and new effects.

    so, Horror nights

I thought it was a good year and an improvement from last year. The scarezones aren't the best ever, but at least they are there. FDTD was a total crapfest but the other 7 houses all have redeeming factors going for them. Halloween is probably a top 10 house of all time.

PHOTOS - First look inside the new Haunted Mansion gift shop - Memento Mori

I'm happy to see more attraction specific merchandise. I wish they would do something similar with Splash Mountain. I found it incredibly disappointing walking through that gift shop and seeing little to no merchandise based on the ride.

AFI Museum after Backlot being Frozen-ized.

My issue with the Frozen stuff is that instead of building something incredible they are just looking for the easiest ways to capitalize on it's popularity now. A last minute mini-event at DHS, an overlay of a small WS ride from the 80s....come on. If Frozen is truly becoming the new face of...

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

 Ummm, BS? Spider-Man book sales are not down, in fact the Amazing Spider-Man relaunch was the highest selling comic in April. The series is up there with Batman and The Walking Dead for highest selling book titles these days. Iron Man comics don't sell that well at all, Guardians of...

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

Spider-Man is the most popular Marvel character and has been for a long, long time. Iron Man's popularity has grown since the movies, but his popularity is new and hasn't proven to be anything more than a fad. Here is a list of the highest selling comic properties of all time, Spider-Man is the...

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

How is this leaving money on the table for Universal? I'm seriously not understand some of the thought process going on in here. You think letting their biggest rival get a huge IP is somehow profitable for Universal? Spider-Man and Hulk are some of the biggest draws for the parks in Orlando...

Is the Great Movie Ride next?

This post seriously baffles me. You seriously think Universal will consider canning Marvel? You are solely basing all of this on films too as if that is all that matters. Sony's Spider-Man films are declining in popularity but the character itself is still by far Marvel's most popular...

    Avatarland So Long T2:3D?

To make room for new attractions because both parks are land locked. Jaws is still operating in Hollywood's tram tour and at Universal Studios Japan. ET is still open here in Florida, director has nothing to do with it.
