I agree with you Mad Stitch. i was expecting this to be my last Wine and Dine anyway. It's gotten to be too much hassle and too much expense. I actually think that changes are pretty good. People will love getting more bling for a challenge and a daytime race will make it easier to enjoy more...
Sure sorry to hear about another WnD mess. This sure makes me feel better about all the sign up problems that kept my wife from getting registered and made me defer. On another board, someone claimed to have a CM friend who said that AK was full of downed leaves and some branches and they didn't...
Holy crap those are awful. After getting the symbolism explained, it seems like you would need to be a big fan to understand them and leaves out the person who is running them for its own sake. They might have been OK as the center of the medal but, as a stand alone, they are terrible
You can enroll more than one person on the same screen.
I can't believe this didn't fill right up. I was expecting something like last year's Wine and Dine hysteria. When it didn't fill up, I couldn't resist and signed up after all. See you all there
Glad it worked well for you! Congrats. DW was trying from Sacramento and I was trying from very rural northern WI. It was during the payment phase that we kept getting error messages. I even tried different cards.. C'est La Vie.
We kept having problems during the payment part. We were both working it from two computers. She got her 5K to take and I only got my half to take. Well...we can still have a nice Christmas trip later.
What a freaking disaster Started the process at the exact time and DW still didn't get in due to do many problems with the system. I guess I'll be deferring to 2016
We are right with you, HRH. Our time was also away slower then the training runs and the weather stole our after party and many of the photo ops. DW and I want a fresh try at the WnD. We felt like we didn't really get the experience we expected. Next year will be fun!
You all said it right. The conditions were miserable but we finished with a solid time and got some pictures. We'll do it again next year so we see what can experience the WnD you all have had in the past. I think we saw our gal wwith the lighted tutu while in line for a picture with Chip and...
LOL. DW and I will be way back in corral K! I was only able to run one horrid 10K but things are much better these days. At least, I've been able to train better after leaving that crazy commute to Bogota. That just messed up my training something fierce. Getting excited about this. It'll...
I have been using a Timex Run Trainer 2 but I recently tested the accuracy against a good GPS and discovered that it consistently measures the distance too short. I am .17 to .27 miles short over a 3 mike run. I think it cuts the corners. That may be because it doesnt check the position often...
Good news, after just two weeks at altitude, this time, I was able to graduate to a slow running motion. Knocked off 2.5 the first two days and a 3.25 today. Very pleased. This is about 7 days ahead of my last trip down/up here.
[ Next...to decide on a costume & hopefully make a few friends on here to meet up with since I'll be attending solo :)
You'll surely have plenty of folks to meet at the start or before. Glad you are coming along.
