Best EPCOT souvenirs, snacks, hidden secrets

I made the bad mistake of trying to combine a "drink around the World" and "snack across the World" into 1 day. It did not work out well at all. But it did let me try a lot of different drinks and food. If you want something out of the ordinary, try some of the different types of Baklava in...

    Halloween Yesterday ... Christmas Today

It has been on my Disney bucket list to try to go on a trip that lasts long enough to catch the last Halloween party and the first Christmas party. I know that used to be feasible, but I think now it may be so spread out that you would have to go on a 2 week trip.

Roger Rabbit's silhouette no longer his?

I am a huge fan of Roger Rabbit, and I love those hidden references to him throughout the parks (at Pop Century, the Maroon Studios Billboard in the Studios, the above referenced window cutout (or whatever is left of it), the Roger Rabbit prints in front of the Great Movie Ride). I can't help...

What park is your favorite and why?

For me it is the Magic Kingdom. More than any other park, it takes me back to my childhood and makes me feel like a kid again. The classic dark rides, Main St. USA, the Haunted Mansion...absolutely the Magic Kingdom!

Favorite "resting" places in the parks?

For me, it is really any nook and cranny in World Showcase...and there are some good ones. I like ducking in the back of the UK pavilion where you can grab a drink and get some piece and quiet. Japan and Morocco offer some good options also.

One sight, one sound, one smell and one taste

The sight is, of course, the reveal of Cinderella's castle that almost always leaves me in tears! The sound of grim grinning ghosts and Yo-Ho-Yo-Ho in the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean respectively. The smell from the popcorn cart on Main St. Usa. The taste of a delicious...

What are your favorite attraction queue props?

That is awesome! Did not know about that one!

What are your favorite attraction queue props?

I know, this is a weird question. But I love the detail and theming of many of the attraction queues (Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, etc.). I started thinking about what my favorite props are used in these queues. My #1 choice- the Haunted Mansion tombstones. I...

Best All Around Attraction At WDW

This is crazy. Another vote for Splash Mountain. It has a long ride duration, tons of audioanimatronics, multiple "false drops" that create anticipation, and the exhilaration of the drop at the end. One of my favorite parts is also the incredible music. If the other Splash Mountain fans...

You're bringing an adult who has never been to Disney World; what is on your must do list?

Too many to list!!! But for rides, I always tell folks they have to hit the Frontierland duo of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain, 2 of my absolute favorite attractions.

    Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

What is the official name of the Sleepy Hollow snack shop in Liberty Square? Is it Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, or the Sleepy Hollow Inn? I have pictures from different trips where the sign has changed, so the name may have changed at some point also. Also- does anybody know if they still...

    What Ride Would You Save?

Another vote for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. When I visited as a kid, I thought it was the greatest thing ever.

    Favorite Store in World Showcase?

I know this is probably a "different" pick, but I love the Sportsman's Shoppe in the UK. If we are including snack shops, definitely the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe.

What's the ride you head to first?

I have no idea whey, but when we enter the Magic Kingdom, we always hang a right and head to Space Mountain. It is strange, because I enjoy Adventureland and Frontierland so much more than Tomorrowland, yet we always start there.

    What is the worst park?!

I'm removing the Studios from the debate because that park is obviously getting a complete overhaul. For me, I say Epcot. I love World Showcase. But the entirety of Future World is lacking to me. The "Leave a Legacy" tombstone set the stage, and not a good one. I wish that entire side of...

    Top Family Attractions?

Good call on the shows. However, we always have a hard time getting our kids to sit still long enough to make it through most of the shows, even the very entertaining ones.

    Top Family Attractions?

What are your top family attractions in Walt Disney World? I suppose I would define "family attraction" as one that does not have a height restriction. For me, it is definitely Peter Pan, soothing, great scenes, classic Disney story, and anything with Pan is a win in my book. I actually did...

Would you sacrafice Splash Mountain for a more western theme?

I am extremely prejudiced here, as Splash Mountain is my hands down favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World. It has a great story, tons of audioanimatronics, a number of false drops to create excitement, FANTASTIC MUSIC, and of course a great climax at the end. Here is a blog post I...

Splash Mountain and Pirates. Love the attractions, love the posters!

MK land most in need of a makeover

Seems like it is a consensus, and I agree on Tomorrowland. If we were to put that land aside, I would say Adventureland would be 2nd. I love the land, and they are doing work with adding a restaurant. But I think Jungle Cruise needs a lot of work, and the Tiki Room, while a classic, is...
