MK Walt Disney to Appear in Carousel of Progress with New Audio-Animatronic at Magic Kingdom

This! I was convinced we were going to the bottom of the sea. Sad they ditched it

MK Walt Disney to Appear in Carousel of Progress with New Audio-Animatronic at Magic Kingdom

    Yeah, that, or go in 40 year increments: 1900s, 1940s, 1980s, 2020s?

MK Walt Disney to Appear in Carousel of Progress with New Audio-Animatronic at Magic Kingdom

Trying to think how that would work without dramatically changing the structure they have now

MK Walt Disney to Appear in Carousel of Progress with New Audio-Animatronic at Magic Kingdom

I have to say, I don't hate this. Seems like a neat idea that ties in super well with the CoP, and Tomorrowland in general. Plus it ensures the CoP sticks around. Let's just hope they nail the face this time

EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Disney could easily provide 2D glasses for those who do Or Disney's just being cheap and doesn't want to deal with the cost of cleaning/maintaining the 3D glasses

EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

Removing 3D from rides that were intrinsically built with it in mind is the lamest move ever. Why even bother riding at all; the 3D is one of the few things the ride had going for it.

DHS Disney Confirms Muppets Take Over Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios

God I hate what they did to California Screamin. Incredicoaster has terrible story, cheap effects/props, random nonsense being yelled at you...it's a ride that didn't need a theme beyond "boardwalk roller coaster"

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

So am I the only who who had no idea BTMR was supposed to be haunted? I suppose I never put much thought into it; just always figured it was simply a runaway railroad for unexplained reasons.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Man that was such an awesome part of 1.0, especially when it had the working animatronic car before it that actually slammed into the barrier and broke in real-time before. Amazing setup and payoff.

DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I will just say that I think MMRR did a great job blending everything together, as it doesn't feel lacking in animatronics at all to me, unlike Tiana's (especially as compared to Splash)

DAK “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater

They had full-on iPhone-like smartphones though, so late aughts at the absolute earliest. I assume it was meant to take place in our 'current day'. Even Judy's "Shuffle" is entirely a touchscreen, which I don't think even existed?

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

I mostly don't disagree! I've had the exact same Luigi's Mansion thought as well. But even accounting for the missed potential, Mario Kart is a vastly better ride than Webslingers in just about every metric: It has detailed sets, (rather than JUST staring at screens), actual animatronics...

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

Webslingers is barely better than a trip to the bathroom. Mario Kart at least has sets and animatronics. It's certainly not the ride I would have wanted, but the webslinger comparisons are killing me. Though ironically it may be more Nintendo-like given the entire thing is about "waggle" lol

Are they really still not working? Jesus, Disney

MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

The guy who designed it also designed the rest of Animal Kingdom (obviously, I know he didn't do it alone). Perhaps what he was aiming for wasn't exactly what you were expecting, but I wouldn't say it's poorly laid out

MK The Hall of Presidents closing for refurbishment on January 20, 2025 [Reopened June 29, 2025]

Same logic also applies to practically every attraction at WDW that's been closed/replaced/rethemed.

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

I mean, we didn't die. It's a fakeout (unless you think the outside was heaven? lol). Anyways, in one sense, I agree with you that 1.0 didn't exactly fit the optimistic sci-fi vibes of that era's Epcot, but it was still at least educational. The ride actually educated while it entertained, and...

EPCOT Test Track to be reimagined

Seeing these reactions is getting me hyped. I might actually refrain from watching most of the ridethrough so I can experience this in person (eventually).
