Good Neighbor Hotel with good park shuttle for one night.

If you stay at one of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, you can walk to Disney Springs and take the bus directly to the Wilderness Lodge, provided your breakfast reservation is after DS opens.

    May the 4th

Hi All, Planning a trip the first week in May and wondering how much busier than the rest of the week it will be at Hollywood Studios on the 4th (Star Wars Day.) In 2025 it will be on a Sunday. I'm thinking we should avoid HS that day. Will it also be busy Saturday or might that be safe?

Is Food Plan worth the cost?

An important thing to remember with the dining plan is that tips are not included. Therefore, you haven't really paid everything in advance, thus negating the convenience factor that many people cite as their reason for getting it.

    Rider Switch near park close

I think they're pretty strict about the cut off. No one can join the line after the official park closing time.

    After hours or no?

With a nice, lengthy stay, I don't think you will need the afterhours event. The AH events are great if you have a limited time in the parks and want to maximize your ride time. I'm currently planning a trip with one day in each park and for MK, it will be an AH event. We should be able to fit...

    Saratoga Springs

I stayed at SS for two nights in January 2022 and slept on the pull-down bed. While the mattress was not as comfortable as the one on the regular bed, I wouldn't go so far as to call it uncomfortable. It was certainly better than the mattresses on the old pullout sofas.

does every one get sick at Disney...

It's never any fun to be sick, especially when on vacation, especially-especially not at Disney! (I have a coworker there right now who's sadly not feeling well.) The stress of travel and disruption of sleep patterns probably don't help, but, if you start feeling ill while on vacation, isn't it...

    Coco Boat Ride Mexico Pavilion

There are always options for the creative ;) If they were to expand the building, rather than just overlaying what is there, they could add a new, larger queue and load station in the additional space. They would not be tied to the current setup. It would mean though that you drift by the San...

Countdown to Extinction: Dinoland USA Appreciation

I had the privilege of meeting the great Miss Phylicia Rashad many years ago and shortly after that meeting, visited Animal Kingdom for the first time. Much to my surprise, when I got to Dinosaur, there was my new "friend" up on the screen as Dr. Helen Marsh! I'm looking forward to the Indy...

    50th anniversary ideas for trip

When you check in online, make sure you note the occasion and the staff may arrange some extra Disney magic (no guarantees of course.) If you send the hotel staff the honeymoon picture, they might even be able to figure out about where they stayed.

How much does your average Disney World vacation cost?

Completely changes trip to trip depending on how many people are going and where and how long we stay. I've had amazing trips for less than $1,000 and upwards of $10,000. Yes, it's expensive, but travel in general is expensive. I've been looking for a vacation rental house near the beach in the...

Your Favorite Resort For A Sit

The beach at the Polynesian as the sun goes down. I love watching the boats passing by while listening to the tropical music.

Why hasn't Toy Story Mania Games been updated?

A holiday overlay would be great here. Spend the money to create the graphics once and then use them for years. They could turn it on for Jollywood Nights and the week leading up to Christmas (like the Christmas parade at MK.)

    Worst Move in Parks History

I agree, but no crowds=no revenue, therefore it must go. If you want some peace and quiet, you can sit in your overpriced hotel room!

    Worst Move in Parks History

This new one is it for me. I might have been able to get behind changes to the river and island, and the new ride looks interesting, but Cars has NOTHING to do with the frontier!

Gideon's Bakehouse - Top strategies to get a cookie?

Gideon's offers a virtual queue when the line gets long (which it almost always is!) You go to the shop and a cast member outside will have a QR code to join. Gideon's and Starbucks opens before the rest of Disney Springs between 9am and 10am. There are no buses from Disney resorts that early...

To Fan or Not to Fan, that is the question.

I bought a couple cheap ones for our trip last September and we never used them. When it got really hot, like in line for BTM, I asked everyone of they wanted them and nobody did. I say skip them.

    Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party

The castle show is my favorite, not just for the party, but for all WDW.

year you first went to WDW

1979 for WDW, but 1971 for DL when I was 10 days old!

One ride, one show, one meal and one firework show

Pirates Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration Cinderella's Royal Table (for the atmosphere and because I could never justify the expense before!) Fantasmic! (at DL if possible)
