    Taking us for granted

Thank you for your post. We all make sacrifices to save for our vacations and I am sure we all want them to be the best possible experiences. In the past 10 years I've made 15 Disney trips. Is normal to expect a certain level of service based on past experience. Allow us to post the good...

Money Saving Tips BEFORE heading to WDW

Best way to save some money- Buy rain ponchos at dollar tree. They are easy to pack and you can toss when done. Also buy cheap gloves- they are also at dollar tree. A simple pair of mickey gloves cost a fortune. We also buy sunglasses at dollar tree. If they are lost or broken its not a...

    Taking us for granted

She also forgot to refill our drinks, make sure our food was ok, etc. We could see her giving more attention to the neighboring tables. We did nothing to antagonize her. We came in knowing what we wanted and placed the order.

    Disney Transportation System and Scooters

When my child was small I would sit him on my lap to free up a seat. Very few parents do that now.

    Disney Transportation System and Scooters

Waited over 30 minutes at All Stars for shuttle to MK. The que was more than full and we needed 2 buses. When the bus showed up there were 2 people in scooters, along with 10 family members EACH that boarded first. I can see letting on some family members to help, but why does everyone...

    Taking us for granted

It looked like there was a booger on the knife. When the waitress came to get our drink orders I asked her if she could please replace it. She never brought back a new one. I grabbed one from the next table.

    Need help selecting resort

I like the value resorts- we've stayed at the All Star Sports many times. The difference in cost between a value property and moderate is significant. The last time I checked it was almost $500. I use the savings to pay for meals. We spend so much time at the parks we are only in the...

    Taking us for granted

We've eaten at Seasons several times. My son took one bite of his meal and almost choked from the pepper. It wasn't just a little.

    Taking us for granted

I feel they don't have to try to impress because: a- many already paid for the meal via the dining plan or b- if you want to eat in the parks they are the only game in town.

    Taking us for granted

They had a full Thanksgiving Spread that included dessert. We also enjoyed their breakfast meals and dinners.

    Taking us for granted

Just returned from a week at WDW. I hate to say this, but some of our best meals were at the All Star Sports. Our worst were at EPCOT and Tony's Town Square... places where you'd expect better than average. The All Stor Sports put out a remarkable Thanksgiving Spread. Everything tasted...

Staying at POP and I'm concerned

There are several reasons why I stay at the value resorts- Cost- For a 7-10 day visit we save over $500 a week. We use that money to pay for our meals and shopping. The people- We meet such nice people on the shuttles and around the hotel. The one time we stayed at the Old Key West...

Studio Backlot Tour Closing on September 27, 2014

We just went on that for the umpteenth time in August- never got tired of it. There is so much unused space there I see no reason why they have to take away that attraction. They should use the money to update the Graat Movie Ride or bring back the Power Rangers for the little ones.

    lining up for the bus

What I hate is waiting in a very long line for a bus. It finally shows up and someone in a scooter shows up. They get first dibbs along with their entire family. By the time they are seated there is nothing left for the rest of us. This happened so many times last Christmas.

Ever Seen A 'Table Buzzard'? And How Do You Handle Them?

I love this topic because this happens everywhere we go at WDW. Shame on Disney for not providing enough seating.

    The Thrill is Gone

To answer the question about the staff- they were rude. I do feel Disney is taking customers for granted. There is not a lot of competition for this type of family experience. It looks like on this forum that the Disney dust must have set in. You cannot post anything that is less than...

    The Thrill is Gone

Thanks all for the comments. I'm a seasoned WDW visitor so I had a pretty good idea what we were in for. For the past few years there has been a steady decline in the Magical Experience. Perhaps we will spend our hard earned vacation dollars and time elsewhere.

    The Thrill is Gone

Just spent a week at WDW 1/1- 1/7. After 11 trips I think we are done. Disney is cutting corners in the wrong places. Dining plan and food choices- Quick service plan now only provides 1 snack a day - it used to be 2 Very hard to eat healthy - most food is fried, and cold by the time...

    Dining Plans

Last year was the 1st year I purchased any kind of dining plan. We only did it as part of a special promotion. We got the quick service plan that included 2 quick service meals and 2 snacks. It also included 2 refillable mugs at our resort (which would have cost $30 out of pocket)...

    La Hacienda or Nine Dragons

Nine Dragons Ate at Nine Dragons last December. Only ate there because it was cold and we wanted to have a nice meal inside. Ordered sweet and sour pork. It was $17 and was horrible. It was over breaded and fried, and then glazed with an unnatural looking orange sauce. Would not go back...
