I've used online check in the last two years at the Poly and the Contemporary and in both cases my room requests were satisfied(I requested the rooms about a week in advance). I would recommend online check in every time.

Definitely the Poly. By far my fave resort!

Very cool news about the RFID locks-I was surprised they didn't install those at the Yacht and Beach Club last month when they redid all the locks. Going to be interesting to see how this resort does-it seems like it's trying to split the difference between a value and a moderate.

I was under the impression that XPass was simply going to be another perk for all resort guests to help drive the occupancy levels in the hotels.

I got a pin in the mail last week, but the booking window ends on 3/31, which is one month too early for us.

I would imagine that they'll be fixing a lot more than the falling rocks-with all that downtime I imagine the refurb will be extensive. The more interesting question is what this will do to Splash, which is already hurting.

I was there in early June and the Soarin film was in bad shape then. Same with Splash and Big Thunder. Big Thunder will be getting some TLC soon-Splash really needs it too but there's no chance they'll be rehabbed at the same time. Anyone know if they fixed the Swedish Chef in Muppets 3D?

The April hours are up-still says that Thunder Mountain reopens March 31. It makes sense-they want to have it up and running again in time for Easter.
