I would say its a rare fluke, the structural design for high wind loads was/is very high. The tree itself made it through quit a few hurricanes in it short life... and has fared very well for that time.

If the buildings blue was the same color the sign wouldnt pop graphically. In theory that white wall should be something contrasting on the other end of the color spectrum or complimentary like a burnt orange but then..well they would used the old orange sign colors for the wall. Stupid Color...

Disney is self insured ..on the whole thats what insurance is for to fix both trains. Disney self insures themselves at their parks and resorts as the cost of actual policy is absurd. So they would have to cover the costs not a insurance company

Those are the current spotlights used in Illuminations ROE. The lifts are raised into place later in the afternoon. I suppose the blog writer hasnt ever noticed them till now which is good. Same old Servo controlled spotlights though

Im not sure if this was answered but DLR and WDW do not transfer budgets back and forth they each have their own capital and there are different types also. Planned Work, Capital that needs a 20% return etc...the list goe on but they never move capital between the properties.

The work for the second site was already done. That address is to one of the pyro offices. When wishes first debuted they didnt build concrete pads for the extra pyro they just setup temporary mortar tubes. These werent permanant and they were pretty much were using buckets to cover the tubes...

the new reservation system is came up yesterday in the afternoon and the first reservation was booked in it. They are still having tech issues with it and the IT command centers are still open but you can call and book now... the System is aptly named DREAMS, which if course is an acronyn. CRS...
