I really continue to hope they upgrade these cars to electric. Love the cars but hate the fumes. Plus with Tron ride being partially open and so close it could really detract from the Tron ride.

I road Space Mountain on my first visit to WDW at age 10 in 1975 and loved the ride. I road it multiple times that trip and road it during multiple trip (seven or eight during that time) in the following 10 or 15 years. I stopped riding it altogether in the late 90s when it seemed just too rough...

I think Space Mountain is one of the things that most needs to be restored/majorly improved for the 50th anniversary.

They use to do fireworks over the theater to movie theme songs from Raiders of the Lost Ark and such. Was really great and I miss it. Hope this may mean it comes back in a more permanent way!
