We stayed at POFQ in January of 2022 and were very disappointed in the rooms. They felt really dated. Prior to that, we had stayed at POP and we actually missed those rooms. The storage is so much better and modern.

I'm disappointed that I'll be on a DCL cruise and will miss it. (I guess I'm not really disappointed, but I wish the timing was different)

What are the management issues with DCL? I thought it was being run well and doing a good job financially. Perhaps I'm mistaken?

I took it as though they've already saved the "extra" $2 billion. Perhaps it is actually future savings (likely reduction in staff), as you indicate?

But if everyone in front of you in the line does it, now you're another 200 people deep in the line. And to me, it's about the principle of it. Why do I need to stand in line for 5, 10, 15, or 60 minutes and someone else gets to walk up and bypass that wait just because they have a friend/family...

That's almost what I'm doing in January. Heading down for Marathon Weekend and staying at OKW. My only time in parks will be during the races.

Out of curiosity, how is that not considered line cutting? I understand the OP was very hesitant to do it and I respect that they were nervous and a cast member gave them permission, but it is clearly line cutting. They did not wait in line and went in front of a bunch of people who were.

I am a RunDisney regular. What does the loss of Faron Kelley from that line of business mean? I see him at the races around the start line and he comes across as positive to me. But I am just going on slight impressions.

We had a different magician. I can't remember his name, but I would certainly remember it if it was Kid Ace!

Where is the walking path? I know OKW is up against the golf course. Not sure when looking at a map what paths are for golf and which are for walking to Disney Springs.

We were on the May 13-20 cruise right before yours, and if the magician was the same person we had, he was excellent! He had a great stage presence and even better tricks.

I think it seems different than it once was. I had it most recently in January and it was nowhere as good as it has been in the past when I would rank it as my No. 1 overall food item at WDW. This is just anecdotal evidence, though.
