Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Thanks for your comment! We were there from June 1st to June 3rd. I didn't know about the block out dates and that people flocked into the parks before their AP wasn't valid anymore. However, even if I would have known, we were stuck with the date. In the end it wasn't that bad, since we...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Thanks for your reply. We didn't spend too much time in Santa Monica, we just drove by. We were driving down from San Francisco and used the coast highway. In Santa Monica we wanted to stop at the Will Rogers State Beach, that's where they filmed Baywatch and so I wanted to see the famous...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Thanks for your comment. Somehow it's good to know, that other guests experienced the same things, because I don't like writing bad things about people from other countries. I guess that comes with the many AP holders. They just know the ride too well and like to sound smart to the others...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Thanks for your comment. English is not my native language, so maybe that's why some parts sound blunt, but I didn't want to be unfriendly or disrespectful. Didn't know about the bananas. Thanks for clarifying. Good to know, that others don't like some Universal attractions either. In fact I...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Universal Studios Hollywood Last year we visited Universal Studios Orlando and we were a bit underwhelmed. On Disney fansites there is a tendency now that Universal does everything better than Disney currently does and so we had very high expectations, which weren't met. So we were a little bit...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

What I liked most about Disneyland was that nature had grown into the park. That adds a lot to DL's atmosphere and gives it its charm. Another cool thing was the Disneyland Marching Band. They were really entertaining. The moment they played Hooked On a Feeling from Marvel's Guardians of the...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

It took us some time to "get" Disneyland, it was the same problem we had with the Magic Kindom. It is Disneyland, it looks like Disneyland, but it just doesn't feel right. It's hard to discribe, but I guess it has soemthing to do with familiarity. I know DL is old and so it is rather small and...

Trip Report - Three Days at Disneyland

Recently we returned from our USA trip, right in time for the UEFA Euro 2016! We had a fantastic time in the US, met many friendly people (and one weirdo ;-)) and we can't already wait to return, hopefully next year. Our trip inlcuded Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Palm...

    Tokyo Disneyland/Sea expands!

That sounds good, so Frozen and the moving of IASW aren't off the table. I read somewhere that the BATB attraction was also planned for DLP before they changed it to Ratatouille. EDIT: I found it: https://twitter.com/PhotosMagiques/status/725240318153596928

    Tokyo Disneyland/Sea expands!

Since there are two topics for the TDR expansion in the upcoming years, I'm going to post here too. Looks great, but did OLC postpone or cancel the Frozen Land for TDS and the relocation of IASW? The Big Hero 6 ride doesn't look impressive, but I'm sure it will be a decent ride.

Updated Plans for Tokyo Disney expansion through 2020.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Thanks for the answer! So that must have been way before DLP opened. Disney Village needs a makeover badly. I don't care in which direction they are going, but it definitely needs a new style.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

According to Tony Baxter a Las Vegas themed hotel designed by Robert Venturi was planned for the lot between Disney Village and NPBC. That hotel was scrapped for the Disneyland Hotel at the entrance. Did WDI plan the New Orleans later in DLP's timeline? I would love to see a New Orleans hotel...

    We are going to Disneyland

Thanks for all the wonderful tips! We are staying off site, because DL is part of a longer USA trip and so we didn't want to spend a small fortune on a DL hotel.

    We are going to Disneyland

We are going to Disneyland during the first week in June and we are already very excited. Now I have some questions. How will the crowds be? I guess the parks will be very busy. Any tips to save money while at DL? What shall we not miss at DL? We are DLP regulars, so the classic rides aren't...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

TSPL isn't as bad as many think. Sure the rides are cheap, but the land overall doesn't look so bad at WDSP. In fact, since the land is built into a forrest it looks very nice during summer. And during the cold and grey winter time the bright colours of the attractions make the miniland look...

Forthcoming DLP refurbs for the 25th and beyond

2017 will be a fantstic year to visit, but we have an annual pass, so we are going to visit this year too. It's not just the rides why we are going, but als just to be there and enjoy the atmosphere. While WDW was always great to visit, we like DLP a little bit more, but I'm curious to see DL...
