News All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

I'm going to be honest, I think that float concept looks really cool. It's elegant, "curly" and reminds me of something from Spectromagic and Dreamlights rather than the sort of ugly blocky designs of Paint the Night. And i'm not really seeing any indications that it would lack the traditional...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Those also have extremely exotic scenery. Indy travels through an ancient temple with a ton of crazy supernatural elements and effects going off. Dino is a time travel ride through a prehistoric jungle from tens of millions of years ago when the world looked massively different than today, the...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

You'd feel better afterwards at least.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I think Disneyland's is even worse honestly. The vast reduction in the amount of figures (which was already a problem at WDW) is even more glaring at DL due to the sheer number that it had and are now gone and leaving empty space. And the environment detail IMO is a noticeable step down from our...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

This actually looks worse than WDW's IMO. The vast reduction in the amount of figures is even more glaring. While I always preferred WDW's version of Splash overall due to the improvements in the quality of environmental scenery, Disneyland at least made up for a lot of that with a larger...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Power just went out for us... And is now back again... Probably doing line work.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I would guess it wouldn't apply to Disney's transportation based watercraft. In fact, i'm not even certain if this order would apply to Disney at all since they're not technically part of Orlando. This isn't the first time the city has closed off boat ramps, I think they did so after Ian as well...

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This seems consistent with Nintendo's policies regarding those characters, at least at the time this land was conceptualized. The early models of the DK area also had an area with an animatronic of one of the animal buddies from Rareware's original DKC trilogy- Ellie the Elephant. I don't...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Aside from about a minute long blip, we have yet to lose power thankfully. The worst seems like it's over. Got really scary sounding. No trees down from what I was able to tell, but plenty of branches in the road. I won't get complacent about the power, lines may be weakened or loosened tree...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

WESH says 40-45 sustained winds now around Orlando, with gusts up into the 50s and 60s. Worst conditions said to be around 3-5 am think. After the eye passes, its rear side is apparently really violent. We'll see when power goes. Don't expect it to stay on throughout.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

There's a lot of footage of kids wading and swimming in flood water, so it's probably a warning for them. Or at least to their parents to tell their kids not to mess with it.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

WESH guy just gave his opinion that it's moving more north than the NHC track thinks. On the other hand, apparently rapidly weakening. Possibly faster than projected.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

I'll also note that while the NHC has the entrypoint to the south of Tampa Bay, most other models still have it making a direct hit into Tampa Bay. There's every possibility that the NHC is wrong. The modeling consensus at the moment have it going further north.

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Seminole County is above Orange and most of it is outside the cone, and even they are still forecast by the local news to receive hurricane force gusts of 75mph or more. Downtown Orlando is again still very much within the cone as of the 11am NHC update. Only the protruding northwestern corner...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

The newest 11am NHC cone? Doesn't look like it, unless i'm reading it wrong. It has shifted south, which is good for the area if it's a continuing trend, but almost all of Orange is still in the cone. Downtown Orlando is still very much inside it. Disney also isn't in downtown Orlando, it's...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

While it is predominantly Disney's fault for not outright closing the parks fully today, they wouldn't have any incentive to keep them open if there was no one wanting to visit to begin with. For every person who visits during this, Disney smells money and can't resist the taste. Cast members...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

Latest combined forecast for Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Polk from WESH- This is based on the current track released by the NHC, the peaks of these winds are projected to affect Osceola and Polk the worst. WDW would likely land in the middle of those ranges since it's basically dead center...

    Hurricane Milton coming to FL

The National Hurricane Center's track pushed it south so it hits land at Sarasota instead of Tampa Bay. That's the track all of the news channels are using, including the locals. This is also the one the Euro model is currently showing. That said, it should be noted that these are outliers as...
