My first trip to Disney was in 1996. I was 26yrs old and we took my daughter who was one and a half. We only stayed for one day ay MK, but I fell in love with it. And now it's quite possibly an addiction!!

We used gift cards for our trip in May, we got one for each of our kids as their spending money. It worked out well, and kept them from asking for everything they saw since they knew their limit. We got our gifts cards at our grocery store.

It will really depend on your child. When my daugher was 18mos she rode pirates and haunted mansion. My son on the other hand at two (and four) years would not ride either. I 'm hopeful for next year (he'll be seven) . I guess just let him decide.
