    Unsettling “security” checks.

It's unsettling when you have a teenage boy and girl who are allowed to return to the room on his or her own to shower or nap or eat and now has to deal with a man or woman entering her room at any time they choose. Does it sound unsettling when it's put that way? Because it is. Plain and...

    Unsettling “security” checks.

UGH. Perfect. Don't like something? Hold your nose and swallow. Don't dare try to debate something that was once a expected and unquestioned and still is in many many hotels of greater and lesser quality. If there were only other examples of "privileges" that were taken away only to be...

    Unsettling “security” checks.

I should have been more clear in my statement. The statement that the hotel would call us to arrange at time was stated to us via our first phone call after the first knocking on the door that woke us. My apologies I wasn’t clearer.

    Unsettling “security” checks.

Again. My problem with the actual security check is my personal feeling about it. And yes, I realize Disney is in fact the owner of the property and can make the rules they choose. The bigger rub in the situation was the repeated disregard for the door placard which by Disney’s own voice...

    Unsettling “security” checks.

I agree with you and am aware they are within their rights. I politely disagree that it doesn’t matter weather I like it or not. Of course it matters. Perhaps one man’s opinion doesn’t have a huge seismic impact but if enough people voice their displeasure with something; even the biggest...

    Unsettling “security” checks.

The cleaning service isn’t an assumed detail in a DVC room. (Sorry I didn’t mention that)

    Unsettling “security” checks.

I’m sorry if this a re-hashed topic but we haven’t been here in a year and a half. It’s not a minor inconvenience to us and obviously that’s what matters to... us. The fact that the latch would stop them isn’t the point. It’s the fact that they are repeatedly ignoring their own policy of...

    Unsettling “security” checks.

Just wrapping up a split stay (Kidani/Poly) this week. Along the way we were notified at both resorts of the daily trash service that is really a security check (a search of your room and belongings for weapons) This is no doubt in response to Las Vegas. I’m a realist and can understand the...

    Disney quest closing noooooooooooooo

DQ doesn't have any issue that a couple of 55 gallon drums of Clorox Clean-up, some elbow grease and a talented electrician can't remedy.

WDW Taking a Hit Over Gator and Massacre ...

That. It speaks volumes as to how numb we have become to the nonsensical violence and the regularity at which is has been occurring. The full pr triage is focused on the gator because it's a much more unusual tragedy. Not our monthly/weekly/DAILY reports of gun violence.

WDW Taking a Hit Over Gator and Massacre ...

I think you're missing the point. Removing the float isn't about repairing emotional damage, it's about not causing more. It's also not about being weak or strong it's about being decently human. As to what depth of the gene pool someone belongs in, well, I'll leave that one alone.
