Look at park hours and try to plan for what parks you want to eat dinner at according to any Extra Magic Hours, then you can decide to hit one park in morning and head to the other park in afternoon and eat dinner at that park, allowing for two parks a day.

Its better to just add the hopper if they plan on needing it. It can be added after their initial purchase if they need it. It has its advantage and alows for more flexability when planning for table services, and if you decide you want to head to another park.

Also don't forget if you stay in the magical location and plan on eating at the parks- you get to add the dinning plan. also the conveneince of paying for your meals upfront and not having to budget for them as you go along.
