First D23 event we won’t need to hear rumors or discuss when WDW is getting a nighttime parade.

Hopefully there’s a surprise or two but I guess we will see.

Mixed opinions on this like everything else Disney does now a days but from the fans point of view it sounds more negative than positive. Unfortunately we know they will not change it back so we are now stuck with this until they probably replace the whole parade.

I agree. If they could raise up and down that would be ideal, but like @Squishy said the alignment could be an issue. MK, for the most part and with the exception of the hub light poles, has always been good at not having show equipment and lighting visible. It will be interesting though to see...

Interesting, Paris is installing their new MS projectors on the rooftops. Doesn’t look the greatest but it might be better than in the windows like MKs. I assume they will raise up come show time like the other rooftop lights do. Let’s hope MK does the same eventually.

I think it would survive if they added a parade and somehow, somewhere, brought back the Osborne Lights. I think Epcot would be better to host a Holiday hard ticket event. Lots of potential if they have a large enough budget.

I think it would be a welcomed sight to see that whole area walled off and dug up. They need to accept defeat and put a fountain back.

I agree. For the new Paris show it sounds like they are pulling out all the stops. MK needs this but it likely won’t happen until HEA gets replaced. I guess maybe there is a chance some of it happens for Starlight.

I meant MSEP introduced projections for the first time for nighttime parades. So far MKs projections, as poor as they are, are only used for nighttime shows.

During the parade no but when PTN debuted we realized how much the lighting adds to the parades intro. MSEP introduced projections on Main Street with the new finale unit. Im curious if Starlight will also use projections based on the concept arts background.

Sounds like Paris is getting several upgrades like a new lighting package and sound system for their new nighttime show. Obviously MK is not getting a nighttime show where this stuff would also be coming, but hopefully the rumored lighting package for Starlight is still happening.

True. Would be nice if they replace those two.

My hope is they return next year. With the new Starlight Parade coming online next year and seeing the castle lights during the parade would look amazing! I miss that view with Spectro and MSEP.

Oh I agree. Not saying they should bring back MSEP but Disneyland also can’t seem to part with it.

I assume for the Moana float the new song Beyond will be included, which could fit in nicely if the soundtrack has a big soaring score and isn’t an upbeat rave like PTN.

Would they potentially return PTN the first of the year and bring back MSEP for the summer? If it still exists.
