News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

The pavilion logos that don't actually show up in the pavilions they reference. Another fail in the EPCOT "overhaul" :in pain:

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Where is this idea coming from that "guests no longer frequent" these areas, or are you just assuming this to be true? What did data look like 5, 10, 20, 40 years ago?

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

How much more could labor costs have been than any of the other Future World pavilions? They all have lots of staff. I always felt most of these Play! elements would be a better fit for the original ImageWorks space. But to basically lose this pavilion in an already-extremely watered down...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

It is this type of transactional thinking that has put EPCOT in the state that it is today. And if your argument were valid, you are essentially saying Disney was mistaken about attractions like Expedition Everest. Yet EE remains an incredibly popular attraction. Not everyone wants Disney to...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

"I totally wouldn't want to go on that exciting high tech new rollercoaster, because I might learn something about blood platlets in the queue preshow! EPCOT is for pop cultural references!" 🤡

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

That was only one part of it. EPCOT Center respected the intellectual ability of its guests, to deliver a message that went beyond the individual pavilions. This ride does not. It is fiction. It is fantasy. It is not EPCOT. The fact that late great attractions are referenced just makes...

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

I know that there is a technical difference, but the reality is that while Spaceship Earth was futuristic, the Communicore buildings were modern. Pleasing, yes, but are they not dissimilar to airport terminal buildings from the same era? IE: Dulles (considered to be the most modern airport in...

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

If you think about the broad history of both EPCOT and Tomorrowland aesthetic, they are going by approximately what is vaguely considered modern and futuristic for the era. While this new space is obviously lacking the substance of Communicore, I think they are doing the building fine, in...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

You have no idea why she cried. Like nearly every sane person, I do not enjoy the current JII. However, when I ride it I get tears in my eyes when we go though the upside down house, because I remember riding the ride with my now-passed-on Oma (German Grandmother) about 15 years ago and she...

Is Disneyland Paris better than the parks at WDW?

I have been to Paris several times. I have not experienced rudeness, and even made friends whom I trained parkour with and who took me into the Catacombs for quite an adventure! My experience is that the French really just want you to make a concerted effort to TRY and speak the language and...

It's really nice seeing those windows bright and clear, and the building not painted in garish colors that clash with the architecture. But has been stated ad nauseam... ripping down the other half really seems wasteful and foolish. That space could've been put to better use than a lawn.

It seems... milquetoast to me. I personally like the idea of using gears, but I don't see a compelling reason to keep them either. Gears = Motion = Progress Gears = Thinking Gears = Invention Gears = Creative Process To me, "creations" sounds so generic, like when Disneyland Hotel renamed the...

    News People mover now reopened!

I don't know if that's true. While this may be anecdotal, I took my ex-girlfriend to the Magic Kingdom -- she hadn't been since she was 8 -- and People Mover wound up being her favorite attraction by a long shot specifically because it was low-key and pleasant. It consistently ranks high among...
