    runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

Did anyone pay to go to the Splash??! How was it? Even if I ran, based on principle, I would not have gone. A park ticket is much cheaper, and all other after parties were included in registration. AK for Everest MGM for Tower 13K Epcot for Wine & Dine MVMCP for Wine & Dine (1 year) …and don’t...

    Summer-like temperatures this weekend

And the Boardwalk is scheduled to have their water turned off for maintenance this weekend. I am a runner who likes to shower first- it sets me up for my day. Man, I would be bothered! Good luck to all runners with those morning temps too. HYDRATE all weekend.

Club runDisney is a new membership program offering benefits at runDisney events

I don’t doubt Disney for ClubrD or for making changes. It’s literally their way of making money for doing not much of anything. They don’t care about the majority of Guests, so pay to play and we will make your experience “better.” Disney should make registration better. Disney should make expo...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Thank you @pdude81 and @Demarke for helping. I’ve never run the race when the parks were officially opened. They let guests in but rides weren’t running yet. I want to do it. I’ll check out the fbook group. I figure if I run the race, PLUS add rides, entertainment, and food that the value of my...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Seems like a lot of us registered for this Race Weekend! Some new, some regulars, and some returners. Can’t wait. This will be my 6th WDW Marathon distance. All of them I competed my best for time, which in some ways is horribly fun but oh so tough! I am debating on running a “fun” marathon...

    runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

Like they used to. When runDisney was young they had various after parties, various distances, and many more thematic weekends. I was there during the Disney Endurance Series transition into runDisney. Now that they are established, it’s so streamlined. And all discounts are GONE.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

To clarify (bc I do understand your points): I am not getting hyped or excited for these AAs as has been described by Disney. The reason? Because the promise does not deliver. They failed with the Yeti after a ton of hype, and they failed with the Frozen crew and their projected faces. We all...

    runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend

runDisney has become so streamlined and predictable in the last 5 or so years. The Springtime Surprise is only a surprise by theme and nothing more. Rinse/repeat is right. But they are still fun weekends for me.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I understand they have next to nothing in common physically. But they share a lot in common with early hype. The most advanced AAs you’ve ever scene and, to quote Rhode, “You’ve never scene something so big move so fast.” That quote was concerning the yeti. And for the giant majority, they’ve...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I still get so annoyed with advanced AA terminology. Yeti was the same and look at him now. If you can’t keep it working it’s no point in the end!

    Mickey Pretzel at Springs?

Is the GF to Poly path open?

And those monorail lines are so backed up at peak times. Too crowded around the monorail loop.

    Mickey Pretzel at Springs?

We are back from our senior trip. I had kids asking me where to get a Mickey pretzel at Disney Springs bc they could not find one. And I could not think of a place! Do you know a place, where can one be bought for next time. Thanks

New eats coming to Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano on April 1

Mozzarella sticks!!! These are not really at any Disney Restaurant, outside of the Rainforest Cafes. The nonly other spot I knew that had them was the BoardWalk To Go cart.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

I am truly happy your trip was great. I apologize that my post illicited strong emotions from you as I never intended to offend. I love a Disney vacation as much as the next- my post implied that as far as line skipping goes, Universal does it better. And I still runDisney on the regular. I...

News Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

As a big Disney fan, and someone who loves classic Disney, I am going to guess the big surprise is that one of the songs will be Zip a dee doo dah. I mean, THAT song is ICONIC Disney. It would fit the new direction of the show, give a subtle nod to an extinct attraction, and it’s a beautiful ear...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

It is justified for you, correct. But it is not justified for us. I am glad we each have options, though.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

You are correct. Time IS money. We paid extra to stay at Royal Pacific at Universal and walked onto every ride we wanted (except for one) any time and every time we wanted. Phones stayed in our bag for the most part. It was splendid and a welcome change. Keep doing your Disney Math for...
