    Driving from central Illinois

I think that I would try to get south of Nashville the first nite. What I mean is...as far south of Nashville as possible. Two additional hours of driving the first nite can make a world of difference. The drive from Nashville to Chatanooga, Atlanta, ect.... would be that much shorter. Then...

What to wear in the parks? (girls mostly would be helpful)

What ever you wear...just don't forget the deoderant and sunscreen. Especially the sunscreen. My kids always get a little red at Disney.

Busy day in the MK today, additional Spectro added tonight at 10pm

FYI...I know of no school in Indiana that is closed for President's Week. Some schools were off on Monday for President's Day, but some had to use it as a snow make-up day. Do you really think that resort bookings are down for the upcoming summer months..even with all these 'special offers' and...

    Banned until 2010

ok, I feel everybody's pain, including my own. LOL. We are on the Dave Ramsey plan and remodeling...with cash. So, 2010 is a short 'maybe' and the long 'maybe' will be even more years than that. The silver lining of all of this is that we have WDWMAGIC and our Disney Visa Rewards dollars. We are...

Whats the best places to eat?

A big second to the Crystal Palace. We ate a late lunch there and paid lunch prices instead of dinner prices. Chef Mickey's restaurant at the Contemparary Resort is great for breakfast. Mickey, Minney, Pluto, Chip and Dale were there from what I remember. At both of these places, the characters...

First time to WDW for family of 4..lots of ??'s

From Mom to Momma: You might want to take your own nice, big stroller for the parks or rent one of theirs. THere are miles and miles of walking at each of parks. The Moderate resorts are a little pricer but they have water slides at their pools, instead of getting the water park and more...

    Carribean Beach....Nervous

When planning our 2008 trip, I read reviews of Port Orleans and found tons of reviews slamming the housekeeping. I read that things were dirty in the rooms, dusty, dirty bathrooms, ect... Well, I made reservations there anyway, and we had a hugely fabulous time.!!! Would go back there in a...

    EXCLUSIVE photos!

Notice Expedition Everest in the background, as well as CSR, Contemparary, and is that Pop Century's unfinished buildings? I can't identify any thing else, can anyone help me out here? Great shots.!!

    Pin Code question

The 'kids 3-9 play and dine free' pin code offer that we received ended in April. What really hurts is that our youngest is 10, so we totally didn't qualify for the pin code for spring break anyway. double ouch. Hang in there, sometimes you just have to pay the Piper...or in this case, Disney...

    Water Parks and Contact Lenses

DS loves water parks and slides but has a quirky phobia about water in his eyes. Every time we go to a water park, or any pool for that matter, he gets by with speedo goggles. These are the swimming goggles, not the big snorkling goggles. They do just fine and he has a great time.

    The Average Guest

When I talk to a lot of people, they mention the price...$70ish per day per person. They don't take into consideration how much entertainment you get for your buck, the entire immersion into the 'Disney experience' and how the longer length of stay can affect the price. With the Dining Plan, it...

Tips for getting into a full resort

Don't rub it in. We have more life experience to get us out of any situation.

    5 Day / 6 Night 585pp + $500GC

TO CONTINUE WITH THE PIN MANIA THREAD: We finally got one.!!! It's Kids 3-9 Stay, Play and Dine for free $794 per adult from 3-1/ 4-16. I thought that this was free dining for everybody, [I'm so naive] so I called and priced the Poly and was told that this wonderful PIN offer that Disney sent...

    Disney at a Relaxed Pace

For our vacation in 2007 we hit the beach, now that was a relaxed pace......I was bored out of my mind. Disney and a wild fast vacation week kind of go hand in hand. ha. My neice and her husband rent a boat one day and enjoy Bay Lake for a slower pace. They only hit the parks every other day...

    Favourite resorts and Why?

So, since price is not a factor here, we love the Wilderness Lodge and Port Orleans, however...as stated... if price is not a factor, we would go with a 2 bedroom DVC property, probably Wilderness Lodge Villas. Because of the extra space and a WASHER AND DRYER. Yes, in my Disney...

Buy 4 get 3 offer extended again!

OH DISNEY, you just keep tempting me and tempting me. I was all sad:cry: on the 24th, because I thought it was the last day of the promo, and then I find out differently today. Disney, you are wrenching my emotions around. [sigh] The house renovation is coming in under budget :sohappy:and so...

    Port Orleans FQ Which Rooms?

We stayed there May, 08 and loved it. We were in building 5 and were freely upgraded to a water view room. No, we did not request this. Family members told us that the Riverside food court is so much better. We liked them both. We especially loved the monorail. So easy to take it to the parks...
