No more Jest Skis at Lights, Motors, Action?

We love LMA! We would hate if they are 'downsizing' the show! (Look at my profile photo - thats us with all of the drivers! My son (ds8) is a huuuuuggge fan of the show - to the point he was an LMA driver for Halloween and had a LMA themed birthday party. It was his dream when he was allowed...

Disney Cruise Line vs. Carnival (or other) Cruise Line

Thanks for posting, glad to hear someone say that Carnival has 'stepped up their game'. I have heard that from a few sources - especially on their newer ships. I am a certified Disney fanatic also, usually go a couple times a year to WDW, and want to go on DCL at least once a year. We couldn't...

Disney Cruise Line vs. Carnival (or other) Cruise Line

Thank you for your response. I am going into this not expecting DCL level of service, which is ok. I guess what I am looking at this is an inexpensive get-away to warmth (we are from upstate NY) during winter break. DCL was too expensive for Feb break, WDW is too expensive for Feb break this...

Disney Cruise Line vs. Carnival (or other) Cruise Line

Ok, I have given this thread new life. I have cruised Disney Wonder twice (2000 & 2010), have Disney Dream booked (Aug 2011). We have tentatively decided to cruise on Carnival Freedom in Feb 2011 as a cheap get-away ($1840 for 2A 2C - 6 days). Now after reading these reviews of Carnival, I am...

    Disney Screwed up

This is exactly what I posted... I can't trust Disney planning anything really special because I think they are sloppy... "they just can't seem to get it right".

    Disney Screwed up

I feel really bad about what happened. I have completely given up on arranging ANY surprises at WDW after 3 bad experiences.... I'm sure that many have had WONDERFUL experiences, but we have not anytime we try to plan something. As you said, I never EXPECTED anything comped in return for their...

    Trip Report Disneymoon Report

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write your trip report! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and reliving the atmosphere. We wish you and Sarah many many years of happiness. I married my 'best friend' 11 years ago, and our marriage gets stronger each year, as you will find yours too...

    Old Tickets

I have some old tickets from 2004 that has the waterparks option on it. I believe there is one day admission left. Where do I have to go to find out? I want to use that day on a waterpark admission. (We are going to WDW in July and did NOT buy the waterparks and more option because we wont be...

    Disney withdrawls

I can understand your wife's stress. On the flip side, at least you had Disney trips to make those horrible things more bearable :sohappy:. I DO understand though... we always have horrible things happen before our Feb trips... for the last 4 years! 1st Feb trip DS4 was hospitalized with...

    Disney withdrawls

I get terrible withdrawl from Disney AFTER our trips. The leading up to the trip is my best time... full of energy, excited, I LOVE PLANNING. After the trip I feel physically ill, think about Disney all the time, stress about when we are going back, reading about other people's upcoming trips...

    I'm getting killed on airfare!!!

I just booked a flight for my mother and father out of Albany to MCO in July for $139each one way. $300 total ONE WAY!!! I think it is ridiculous. DH and I drive to FL (21 hours) twice a year. We figure we can either go TWICE a year by driving or ONCE a year if we fly. No brainer! We drive now...

Disney goes to trial over safety of Tower of Terror

As statistics major in college (with graduate work), this has been my foundation for YEARS.... all data can be manipulated in a way proving the agenda. No 'common sense' correlation needed (or wanted). Most joe-public will accept the results of so-called 'data'. Your post made me laugh!

    Post-Disney Depression

I understand that pain....it gets worse with each subsequent trip. The pain then requires another quick fix...booking another trip. Then you need more and more trips planned because the pain becomes more and more unbearable. :ROFLOL:It is totally an addiction. For instance, we initially started...

Anyone besides me actually prefer Value resorts to Moderates?

We've stayed at Deluxes (WL), Moderates (CBR, POR, POFQ) and Values (ASMo, ASSp, POP). We prefer values...especially POP. We love the ease of the foodcourt at POP, and the fun theming for our kids. The moderates, to us were blah; the deluxes are too serious for our rambunctious boys (ages 4 &...

    Land & Sea...

I would look at booking the land portion seperately from the cruise. This way you can get any available offer for the land. For instance, this past Feb we booked the 5 days + 2 free deal (value) for approx $1600 (2 adults, 2 kids), and booked the DCL - 3 night on the Wonder cruise deal kids...

    Nassau Barbor Cruise

HI! We did the Nassau Harbor Cruise in 2000 - DH and I. It was really nice, relaxing, and we saw some beautiful sights. The mansions & yachts on Paradise Island are amazing! It was a really nice excursion, and a fairly decent price too. Have fun!:sohappy:

    Resort Mugs!

My YOAMD mug has 2007 printed on it, but when we bought them in 2008 they were blank (no year). This made me think they would use this design FOREVER! I am at least happy they changed them to the current 'celebrate' style, but I am ready for a change again!

Has anyone been during President's day week

Ok, maybe I am crazy but I love president's week! We go twice a year, once always during president's week. The crowds are manageable (compared to July!), and the weather is great (compared to upstate NY :brick:). I like that since it is a 'peak' week, then the park hours are usually later...

Buy 4 get 7 returning! Well sorta!

OK, stupid question but I need to ask. For values, (as speculated) will it be buy 5 nights, get two nights free (hence a total trip of 7 nights, 8 days). Or is it buy 5 days, get 2 days free (hence a total trip of 6 nights, 7 days). We plan on going Feb 12 - Feb 18 (6 nights, 7 days).
