Your first day At WALT DISNEY WORLD?

We used to always go to Magic Kingdom first but this year with EMH and the DDP we are doing things differently. So this year we are doing AK first. We are those freaks who get up at the crack of dawn to be first at the parks. None of us are late sleepers anyway and then add in the excitement...

What do use to tote things around the world?

 I agree. I tried to convince our "stuff carrier" to stick with the pack, but they insist that it is out of style. I said SO ARE TINY BOOKBAGS! Besides at WDW no one cares. But, she won't listen!

    Tipping with Dining Plan

Yes I already stated in a previous post that I have been a server before. 15% was not a dream where I worked, and it wasn't even a ritzy restaurant. i guess I just lived in a place where people knew how to tip. If you did a great job and got 7% it would be a slap in the face.

BUT YOU KEEP CONVIENIENTLY LEAVING OUT THE SERVICE PART! Unless you are in a burger joint or some hole in the wall people typically expect better service. Now before someone starts in on a rant about how you should get good service no matter where you go.....here's the difference. in a...

    Tipping with Dining Plan

NO NO NO. First off there is almost no way you are gonna get out of Outback for two people for under $20. Second i am talking about SERVICE. if the service is GOOD then yes the server deserves more than a 10% tip. I didn't say to leave exhorbitant amounts of money. 15% would be perfectly...

What do use to tote things around the world?

LOL, glad you get a kick out of us, but it's stuff we need. We have one miniature bookbag (used to have a pack) that carries everyone's stuff. We're not going to Austraila, but we do have people in our family who wear glasses as well as prescription sunglasses. they have to change...

That doesn't make it any better at all. It doesn't matter what type of restaurant it is. You should tip on a scale of Service + meal total. These people, if they are doing a good job, do not deserve to be shorted, just because you're cheap and don't feel like leaving more than $2...

    Tipping with Dining Plan

I completely agree. I generally leave a 20% tip at restaurants. But that tip is based on GOOD service. not "just because you're supposed too." I am not in charge of what career path these people choose (and yes I've worked in the industry too). It is called the "service" industry for a...

Raglan Road - any oppinions on it?

Yep they are on the DDP, we asked when we called. We have reservations for this Thursday night. And you made a good choice, Planet Hollywood is so blah it's not even funny. You're basically paying to be eating in a cool building, the food is nothing to write home about. We had some vouchers...

    MGM All day Questions!

Hi there. I'll bite! LOL! CS: I personally like Backlot express. It has your basic American fare. Hamburgers, chicken tenders etc. BUT, since you have young kids, they might get a real kick out of Pizza Planet. Fantasmic: There aren't really any bad seats for this one, although the...

Value resorts???? Lots of questions...need help from other Disney nuts!

I'm gonna go opposite from others and say, my cousin Donna and her husband Ron stayed at a value resort, ASMovies, for their honeymoon for the exact same reason. They wanted to be able to spend more time on their trip. it meant that they could stay for almost twice as many nights. To this day...

    Ernesto

You are travelling and arriving at the SAME time as us! We're thinking it's gonna be ok too. We may have quite a bit of rain on the drive down, but it should clear out in time for our first park day. we may have some lingering rain bands but nothing life threatening! :D

    knowledge please

OK I said I was done with the thread but this cracks me up! I feel your pain! I have had to face those questions ALL morning!!! I keep telling everyone that we are not changing our plans, everything will be fine. I think I need to tape a bulletin to my door! LOL!!!

    knowledge please

Yes. that was the point of my post. Not an endless argument about park closings. *sigh* Msthunder, it's looks like you're gonna be A-ok, so just pack your ponchos and try not to worry. You may get a little wet, but you will still have a blast! And with that, I am done with this thread.

I'm not talking about people who are trying to provide accurate information, and since you hadn't even posted yet, I obviously wasn't talking about you! Sheesh! i was just talking about the people who seem to argue for the point of arguing. The number of times the park has closed or not...
