Disney Vacation Club offering discount for VIP Tours at Walt Disney World

For that type of price, a one ride limit is absolutely absurd.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I think that's the big takeaway from this, is that a lot of vacations that were historically only Disney, or took 1 day to visit Universal as an add-on, are now going to be more split between the two destinations. I don't know how much it will affect Disney's parks, but I think it could affect...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

People with kids under 6 are probably always going to pick Magic Kingdom, Disney has that crowd locked in. But once the kids start getting older, I think we will see people switch over to Universal more and more. Disney also has squandered the past decades of being a beloved US company with...

    I NEED YOUR ADVICE!

Also Old Town on 192 near Disney is another kind of tourist trappy thing, but kind of fun for one evening, looking through the shops and they have a few carnival rides.

You should run for CEO with that unflappable spin.

Some of these other posters are correct, in that some of us are basing our opinions on general impressions, because just saying attendance is up can also be misleading. We would have to have access to the kinds of data that these companies only keep internally, like who exactly is attending...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Plus I think Disney has masked the attendance numbers by having increased revenue through all the nickel and diming, essentially milking the customers that remain loyal as some kind of lifestyle brand. It's kind of twisted and probably unsustainable in the long run, and opens Disney up to large...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I came over to this forum from the other forum that shall not be named, years ago, because it got to the point that I was pretty sure that some of the posters over there were either Disney cast members or posters professionally paid by Disney to control the narrative, and not allow criticism...

Now that the proxy war is over, who SHOULD be the next CEO of Disney? (assuming Bob Iger actually leaves in 2026...)

Sigh...OK, fine, I guess we have to give them another year before we really start squawking. I really don't think it's a good idea for Disney to wait that long, though. And not like the candidates would change much between now and then, either.

Well it's now May 2025 and we have not heard of a successor yet. Starting to believe me by now? If nothing by early next year, we will be facing another contract extension, lol.

From what I understand, Eisner had to give Tishman their choice of location in order to get out of the deal. So of course they chose Epcot over Hotel Boulevard. Not much he could do about it.

And Swan and Dolphin would not have been there, except for Eisner's goof of giving that hotel company a contract for the WDW hotels, and then had to give them that location for a long term lease in order to get out of said contract and build Disney owned hotels instead.

Whatever Happened to Stitch's Great Escape? Any Updates on That Space?

They need to make a fun Stitch attraction. The Stitch animatronic was impressive, but the story of the attraction wasn't that great. People left going "What?" Maybe something similar to Pooh, where you're following Lilo & Stitch through an adventure. Kids would love that.

    SeaWorld F&B Pricing Sustainable?

When I saw the $12? $13? For a plain cup of dippin dots, that's when my eyebrows raised a bit lol.

Yes, but any other month isn't going for that much money, not anywhere near. Maybe I'll stay there eventually, I don't know, but yeah the gouging leaves a bad taste.

Well I did it. I purchased an Epic 1 day passholder ticket for June 26th, and booked 2 nights at Aventura. They had a passholder $142 rate there, as opposed to around $250 I think they wanted for Stella Nova during June? I would have liked Stella Nova, but that's too much for a value resort...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Well the rates I'm seeing start around $400-600 depending on dates, for a standard room, and then go up from there. The feeling I'm getting, once the new hotness wears off, is that this resort will have to be priced in between Sapphire and Royal Pacific, just based on the location and no...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

This thread has gotten me so excited that I just purchased a premier annual pass, and going over to universal tomorrow to pick it up so I can have a chance at a 1 day epic ticket for this fall! I wonder if the ticket office at universal sells those also, looks like you may have to use the website.
