In Order to Obtain Multiple FastPasses, Is this Possible?

We have a family reunion, or Grand Gathering, planned for the near future. There will be about 18 of us and we'll all be staying at the Beach Club Resort. We're going to try and take it easy for the benefit of everyone, so we won't be planning on being at any rope drops. My question is this...

How many DVC points do you own?

We own 220 points at the Beach Club Villas. It seems to be enough for roughly a week in a Studio twice a year or a One Bedroom once a year. Scott

    Monorail Pink/Purple questions.

I couldn't agree more. I would be very surprised if these two trains reappeared in their original colors. Airlines do the same with flight numbers of aircraft involved in fatal accidents. I don't expect to see pink or purple on the resurrected monorails.

Is the Distance Between the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Walkable?

We're DVC members and we're thinking about staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas during an upcoming trip to WDW. We normally stay at the Beach Club or Boardwalk Villas, mostly because of their location to Epcot and Hollywood Studios as well as the many activities offered in the Epcot Resort...

What is with the Smell of the Monorails?

I'm not usually one to criticize anything Disney. We've just returned from yet another wonderful WDW vacation and once again, I was not disappointed. Except for... The smell of the inside of those monorails!!! They smell like an elephant house at a zoo. I realize that they're transporting...

What's in the Water of WDW's Attractions?

After recently returning from yet another wonderful week at WDW, I realized that I had been favoring the water rides not so much for their sights, sounds and overall experience, but for the smell! There's something about the smell of a WDW indoor water attraction that keeps me breathing deeply...

    First week of November

I had taken my family the first week of November last year, after determining that the only major events on the calender were Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and The Food and Wine Festival. With MNSSHP ending on the first or second day of November and TF&WF limited to Epcot, I thought...

Anyone ever met others in WDW from your part of the world?

I was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. but now reside in Massapequa (Long Island), N.Y. Last November, while purchasing a beverage at the Rose and Crown outdoor beer concession, I noticed that the CM behind the counter had "Massapequa, N.Y." printed on his nametag. As I struck up a...

Why Does Fifth Gate Speculation Always Seem to be Out of Left Field?

I have to say that I'm not a fan of a fifth gate to begin with, but if there were to be one in the future I can't imagine that Disney would consider a villain, beast, or any other narrowly specific theme. These themes sound too campy to me. Almost as if they're taken directly from some type...

Why Does Fifth Gate Speculation Always Seem to be Out of Left Field?

Perhaps I did not expand enough in my original post. When I stated "something completely different", I was refering to being different from the existing parks in the Walt Disney World resort itself. I just do not feel as if a Villains or Beastly Kingdom themed park is different enough from...

Why Does Fifth Gate Speculation Always Seem to be Out of Left Field?

I'm as much of a Disney fan as any one of you...But as much as I enjoy reading about the future of Walt Disney World, I can't help but feel a little uneasy when I read about rumors of a fifth gate. I'm not stating that there will not be one, I'm just not convinced that any of the rumored...

    Question about Characters

We've seen them in the same area when we were there in early November. They were putting on quite a show and had a fairly large audience watching. Their act reminded me of the improv street performers that you come across at Disney MGM Studios. Scott

How many points do you have?

We've just recently become DVC members by buying 220 points at the Beach Club Villas. We figure that that should be enough for a one bedroom villa once a year, so we do not anticipate buying anymore points anytime soon. But hey, you never know... Scott

What are the Views Like at the Beach Club Villas?

Thank you everyone for the information. I was curious as to why the Beach Club Villas do not offer a standard view and my fellow Long Islander, ConstanceIrene, is right on the money: Every view, although different, is spectacular! It looks as if you had a woods view, mouselvrmom. You describe...

What are the Views Like at the Beach Club Villas?

I've recently purchased a DVC at the Beach Club Villas. I'm contemplating my first reservation there but I have some questions about the views that I would like to get answered before I book. I understand that there is no view of Storm Along Bay, yet there is a view to the west of the villas'...

Attractions With Features Which Are Not Operating

I was not refering to simply passing through the Gangster scene, I was refering to experiencing the show itself. I was already aware that the first 2 cars experience the Cowboy show while the last 2 cars experience the Gangster show. So, while sitting in the 4th car, approaching the...

Attractions With Features Which Are Not Operating

I had just returned from a trip to WDW, which had been my first in over 6 years, and noticed two things that have me wondering about WDW's maintainance program. The first is a feature on Splash Mountain. After the scene on the right with Brer Bear caught in the rope trap, a scene on the left...
