Rumor Frontierland Shootin' arcade to close and replaced with DVC Member lounge

Can we really argue perks like this don't matter and then complain when other perks of the same or lesser significance are taken away from the resorts? This doesn't do anything for me and I guess I should be negative on the project as it takes away something that I technically could have...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

These seem more like inconsistencies than proof animals exist in the Cars universe, though. As a thought experiment, imagine a sequence in Cars where they come across a bear or some moose that were not carified; it would be extremely jarring. Same goes for the fairly lame Cars attraction at Walt...

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

Yes, I would think signs like Disney experiencing attendance as soft as Uni Orlando this year or bookings for next year appearing unusually soft might ring some alarm bells about fans cancelling or delaying trips due to excitement for Epic Universe. The early signs, though, are that managing the...

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

I feel like for as long as I have been online I have been reading claims about how Disney is manipulating their numbers in various ways from closing large sections of their resorts to pretend they are fuller than they really are to simply lying in their quarterly reports. Accepting all of that...

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

I would have thought HKDL was still enjoying a bit of a bump from the opening of World of Frozen and the shift back to a 7-day week. Paris, on the other hand, seems to have had a very quiet summer which would make sense in terms of accounting for at least a significant amount of the decline for...

    Would they be the middles/middleage?

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I think they just needed something to show and lifted this Lorcana art to give a sense of what the land could be about. I wouldn't read too much into it.

    D23 Brazil

Yes, people seem to be concentrating on the number of attractions rather than what attractions a significant number of people on here would care about losing.

    D23 Brazil

It seems more a question of whether some potentially bad decisions could possibly still be avoided. If they're still doing a lot of 'controversial' things but just not announcing them yet, then I agree I'd rather they just announced them.

    D23 Brazil

I think it makes about as much sense as any of those countries if not a little more than some as there is currently no representation of South America. It would, of course, depend what they do with it and all indications were that it would have just been retail and dining, which is disappointing...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

Isn't he lack of movement kind of the point, though? If about 50% of their visitors on a given day wouldn't want to visit an attractions for political reasons whoever the president is at a given moment, then it makes sense to review whether that attraction continues to be the best use of money...

    Cast Member Standards

That's how I would read it, though that might be a cultural thing as I think in Australia we say "no worries" a lot. "You're Welcome" does seem to have an implied "yes, I did go out of my way to do something for you" whereas "no worries" suggests more that it was, well, no problem or...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

That's putting a lot of pressure on that one attraction. At any rate, we now have almost a quarter of a century of watching responses to audio animatronics of the current president within the attraction grow increasingly polarised regardless of political persuasion rather than the attraction...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

I would agree with you, but this thread already shows that plenty of people will read it very indignantly as a slight against one side of politics. Related to political polarisation, we live in an era of rage bait and Disney appearing to close an attraction rather than feature X president as...

Rumor Hall of Presidents Replaced by Muppets American History Show???

I have a feeling this will be locked and posts purged, but I will try to give a relatively non-political and no doubt unpopular perspective on this. I just think this attraction is anachronistic and is way out of step with where society and tastes are in 2024. People (probably correctly) don't...

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I feel like we kept seeing the same comments about Super Mario. Was that been a game changer for Universal Hollywood?

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I do think it's more complicated than that and does come back to the idea of story beats. Even if you didn't understand the linear narrative of the story on the first ride, you knew the atmosphere was happy, then grew increasingly tense leading up to the drop, and then there was this big moment...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

I guess that must be true for most people. To be honest, though, I am also indifferent to Harry Potter (in that I have only seen 2 of the movies) and that has also meant I don't care that much about the Harry Potter lands despite the fact they are obviously well-themed. This may just be more a...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

This is the aspect that makes me most baffled about the recent turn toward just IP-based attractions and lands at the parks: if you don't care about the IP and/or haven't seen the relevant movies, there is an immediate barrier to entry. Berk is like that for me, but so are all the Cars lands. In...
