Having actually been to the Himalayas I can tell you that if they just put a pile of garbage there than it would fit right into real life theming. For the beauty and magnificence that is the Himalayas, some of the locals up there use it as a dumping ground for their plastic and other crap. Sad.

BTW, just got back from my first trip to Disneyland yesterday and gotta say, RSR is amazing and the entire Carsland is awesome to behold in person. To just pluck it up and plop it down in central Florida would not make sense...the whole theming is based on Route 66 and just screams California...

You're probably right that Walt Disney did not come up with the idea but it was his idea to install that system to Florida and use "lessons learned" from Disneyland where space was extremely limited

Have the ride as a recently found hatch with an orientation tape with Dr Pierre Chang in the queue and that should be all you need. Have the riders experience an attack from Smokey and a few blasts through time and you have a great ride!

I agree although a ride over the battle of Coruscant from Ep. III would be pretty darn cool as well! Or skimming the surface of Genosis in the Clone Wars in Ep II in one of those troop transport ships...that would rock too Or here's something completely different...be a Tie fighter pilot...
