    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

Yes, I have, of course. I snoozed on that Pirates refurb and didn’t realize that is what they did during that closure, so am a bit fascinated at the scale of that type of refurbishment. It does make sense, with the water element in each of these attractions, that the metal shell of the...

What?? This is what happened during the 7-month Pirates refurb?? That seems like an insane undertaking.

    Disneysea late arrivals help please

To echo what Brian said, 75% of Journey is tame and smooth, but the final upward spiral and drop taken at a high speed can be somewhat jarring and has a bit of aggression to it. Not exactly a smooth drop after acceleration and not as smooth as a roller coaster drop. However, IMO it's the best...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

Fairly certain the HKDL Railroad train seats face inward around the loop, and the existing Mystic Point station is on the wrong side of the tracks for that. Is there a way to make this functional without retrofitting the train cars?

Fairly certain they mean the Fantasy Springs Hotel. It’s a terrible design.

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

I read that quote as Hong Kong is using "World of Frozen", Paris is using "Kingdom of Arendelle" and TDS "Frozen Kingdom." So they're still consistent with their marketing.

Tokyo DisneySea Believe Sea Of Dreams New Nighttime Show

Is it me or does the belt-y version sound like it was recorded by Eden Espinosa?

    Miscellaneous Tokyo Thoughts

The mannequins in the One Man's Dream 2 photo have me howling with laughter. Love this, though!

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

I have to agree with you. This blueprint makes things way more exciting! With the show building being roughly the same size as Indy next door, this changes the game for me. Wasn't too excited for this attraction when the rumor was a FoP reworking, but now I am.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

These Peter Pan ride vehicles shake-up the assumption that this attraction is a reinvention of FoP. These look like this could be a Disney version of the Simpson's attraction, though, so maybe the screen comparison to FoP does make sense.

Going to Japan next year, Should I add on a day for DisneySea?

Try to squeeze in Pooh and Splash as well! Oh and also Monsters, Inc and maybe Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast if time allows!

I Don't Know If TDL Is Going to Celebrate Their 40th Anniversary Next Year

Very excited to hear about the new Encore: The Moments exhibit! Should be a cool retrospective of costumes.

    Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

This makes me so happy. I honestly hope this is true. Once I read this may be a copy of the FoP technology, I lost interest. Well, mostly! It's still a new, original attraction, but Pan deserves another creative approach to his story with real movement.

Beauty and the Beast Tokyo ride through

I have not watched any ride videos, so I can experience it in person first whenever I get back over to TDR. However, could the Something There scene be salvaged by bisecting the room with something structural, moving the current animatronics to one side and having the first half of the room be...

Also with their Splash Mountain. There are backstage support buildings that have rockwork elements attached to deal with various sightline issues both from the ground and from the attraction itself.

    News Tokyo Disneyland Closed

Just chiming in to say that "mountain range cardboard cutout" is masking the fly loft for the new theater next to BatB. The fly loft is where all the hanging scenery is stored above the stage. The mural was pretty believable when I was there in December.
