    things you wished you bought?

I saw a couple of cool 'grandparent' type picture frames in Disney World when we went in April of 2004. My wife and I were 'trying' to have kids but thought that buying the frames for my parents would jinx us. So, we didn't buy the cute grandparent disney picture frames. (You know how cool...

    Misson Space ?

I also never said you didn't know much about parenting either. All I said was it was difficult to understand how tough it can be unless you walk in a parent's shoes. And I think I have a valid point. Many parents may be able to account to that. It is tougher than I thought it would be, but...

    I never said that.

    Misson Space ?

Thanks! I also thought it was funny about the belt comment. I too was raised in the 'belt era'. My dad could whip off his belt as fast as a quickdraw Cowboy from the West. I never stood a chance to run! Well, tomorrow's flight experience will be the deciding factor as to whether my...

    HELP! Baby's first airplane trip

Ok, we are flying to Michigan tomorrow morning and are taking our 5-month old baby boy for his first plane trip. Has anyone traveled by plane with a baby that young? Do you have any 'tricks of the trade' or 'things to know' that you could pass along to us that was beneficial during your...

    Misson Space ?

No offense, edwardtc, but until you walk in the shoes of a parent, you really don't have an idea of tough it can be. Trust me. 5 months ago I felt the same way as you (that I thought I knew more about parenting than many parents) but with a 5-month old I have much more respect for parents who...

For those of you who don't read Chit chat....MJ news...

Poor taste I wasn't going to reply to your post because quite frankly you are not worth the keystrokes. But here I am figuring out what ever happened in your life to make you so bitter and cold to reply in such a manner. But, I think edwardtc hit the nail on the head.

    Misson Space ?

Thank you!! You proved my point! Statistics are just that... statistics! And they mean nothing unless you... well, you can read the post above. My point is exactly that. Don't use the 8.6 million statistic because it is not entirely accurate. So many people keep throwing that out there...

    Misson Space ?

I am not saying the ride is responsible. All I say is take under consideration the 'statistics'. And 'without incident' isn't accurate either. People have been sent to the hospital and countless others felt ill afterwards. (I know I know, they were properly warned before hand.) Where is...

    MJ's story...and Cody's... VERY LONG

MommytoMJM, your story is amazing. I wish I had an ounce of the strength and determination that you have. Whoever thought miracles couldn't happen should read your story because it appears to me that you, your husband, and MJ appear blessed beyond words to have each other. You and your family...

MJ's very, very ungood night...pixie dust please....

Also, the new Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital in Nashville is amazing. I had to take our 5 month old over there for a special corrective helmet and upon walking in I thought I was in one of Disney's All Star resorts. It is amazing inside. So much like Disney I got the bug to want to go back...

If you didn't post here I would have never found your original postings. I appreciate you posting here. I cannot believe how rigid people can be and considering this is only a bloody bulletin board, who cares if it is in the wrong spot! I didn't know we had people out there with nothing...

    Disney employees vote against unionization

I'm glad there was no Unionization. The Union is doing WONDERS for GM. Just as an example, each car that rolls off a GM line already has about $2000 worth of employee benefit costs that goes to the consumer. Therefore, as many of you know, GM is having a hard time competing with other...

    Misson Space ?

Something about the 8.6 million successful rides statistic that everyone continues to throw around: 8.6 million does NOT mean 8.6 million different people. More meaningful data would be if we could break it down per demographic. You could also say 1 death per 2 years. (That stat, even though...

    Mission: Space tragedy

Sorry, didn't know sarcasm wasn't allowed. Based on a lot of these posts, I thought it was normal. Oh wait, was that sarcasm too? :animwink:  ...kidding I was talking about this incident with some co-workers and I asked them "How would you know if you should let your child ride an...

    Mission: Space tragedy

Wow, you must be a joy to be around. By reading 99% of the other posts, at least some people have some sympathy for the family who was enjoying their day at the most magical place on Earth when this terrible event happened. I would like to think all unexpected deaths deserve some sympathy...

    Mission: Space tragedy

On a different note, and in response to OBJRs post above, I want to applaud the CMs for their attempt to revive the boy. I find it heroic that these CMs did not panic and followed through with their training to the best of their abilities.
