    Upgrade Question

I agree with crxbrett, it's hit or miss on the pixie dust. Whether you get the upgrade or not, it's still an on-site Disney resort and that's magic. I have gotten upgrades without a special event or request. My advice is to do what gives you peace of mind. If you feel like you'd miss out on the...

Phone batteries lasting or not throughout the day

I find it helpful to make a screenshot of all of my fastpass reservations as I make them. That way you're not going in & out of the app to verify times. Just look at your screenshot or make the screenshot your background. You can do that with ADR's & other confirmations too. It is quick & easy...

    First Deluxe Resort Stay?

The resorts in the Epcot area provide the most convenient transportation options to (2) parks. It is an easy walk to Epcot from Yacht/Beach, Swan/Dolphin or Boardwalk. You get the added bonus of being able to walk to Hollywood Studios, albeit a bit longer walk, maybe 15 minutes. There is the...

Do you use park hopper is it really worth it?

I always purchase a park hopper. It works best for me. I would consider the park hours for your trip dates, taking this information into account there are days when the park hopper will certainly provide the best value and maximize your park experience. Don't forget that numerous times of the...

What is The Weirdest/Funniest Thing That You've Seen at Disney?

Omg! That is hilarious. I needed a chuckle today, thanks!

Rumor Flight of Passage foundation cracks?

It might take Gorilla tape to fix this one! ;) :joyfull:

Which one should we leave out?

Would you consider a park hopper ticket? That would allow you to do both parks. You wouldn't need that much time in Hollywood Studios. Toy Story Land will still be new, I am guessing that the lines will be long, but not for anything else. With good planning a half day is usually pretty...

    Pop or CBR

Without a doubt Pop Century! I was lucky enough to get a new room on my solo visit in September 2017. It was very comfy and the little bit of construction that was going on didn't bother me at all. I've always had good stays at Pop Century. I have watched recent youtube updates on the...

Is it possible to book a deluxe resort in the $300 range? And can you have more than one room reservation?

There will be promotions for Deluxe resorts later in the year. You can reserve & put deposit on Pop Century, then upgrade to a Deluxe if there's a promotion. Disney reservations will move your deposit to the Deluxe resort & collect any difference in room rate. Just be alert to cancel policies...

    Favorite footwear

Skechers! They are great. The support is firm and they are super light on your feet, not too hot. The memory foam is def a plus. Hope you find something that you're comfortable with. Don't forget to bring an extra pair of shoes. Have a magical time!

    Famous people encounters at WDW

I saw John Stamos! He is adorable. Rosie O'Donnell used to film her show at the park and John Stamos was a guest. I saw him in the park but I didn't approach him. I also got to see Destiny's child and 2 cast-tribe members from Survivor. They happened to be guests of the Rosie show also. I also...

    No rooms anywhere

The parks/resorts are always busy on a 3 day weekend and since most schools are out on Monday the crowds will be peak. If I'm not mistaken this is also the week that the east coast schools have a winter break, the kids are out of school for an entire week. This happens every year at about this...

Be honest, how weird is it for a male to go on Solo trip?

Not weird at all. I'm a 57 year old female; I've been doing solo Disney trips for the last 10 years. It's a blast! I love it. Don't worry, after a few solo restaurant visits you'll feel more comfortable. I understand your concern, I felt uneasy at first. I don't intend my next statement to...

Trip Report Great Garland! Solo Trip in November...It's Totally Tinsel!

Your trip was amazing! Thanks for sharing. I take a solo trip just about every year. I've been doing that for about the last 10 years. It is so fun to treat yourself and it so relaxing. I hope that if our paths cross we can do some rides &/or lunch sometime. :)

    park hopping.......very misunderstood

Right?!! My thought exactly. I don't understand why someone would think that there is no benefit to this 'option'. It is a choice. The option has served me well many, many, many times.

    park hopping.......very misunderstood

You've described my perfect Disney vacation. I'm there for rope drop then about sometime around noon-ish I leave MK and go have a nice leisurely lunch, sometimes some pool time, power nap, then back to the parks for evening/night time. This works great for me. It works every time. If the MK is...

    park hopping.......very misunderstood

I absolutely love park hopping and am willing to pay for the benefit. Unfortunately, most of my trips are only a (5) day stay and the park hopper definitely maximizes my park time. Depending on the season & park hours I can see Epcot's Illuminations & Magic Kingdom's fireworks in the same night...

Pre-Trip Our Dream Trip - finally, after 5 years of planning!

I am so excited for you! I know that you will love the resorts, all are brilliant picks! Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite. Try for the Mansion buildings in Oak Manor, Magnolia Manor or Parterre. You will be just across the bridge from the main building, it's a great location. Wilderness...
