Yup. I've lived very close to Haymarket for 30 years and lament the loss of the park every time I drive near there. It would've been a great tax generator for the area.
It's only closing for 12 days so I can't imagine it being a major refurb, but they could be pulling out the games and sticking in more tables and chairs, or painting everything and replacing things that look worn after the major refurb a couple of years ago.

I share your perverse amusement. Now it is just a few huge subdivisions with shopping centers and schools, generating loads of traffic and more of a drain on the area than Disney would have been.
