I never understood why Disney public transportation sucks s

"Hmm" I think to myself, "I thought Disneyland in Paris is literally on a train stop, I should check that" and it turns out my memory was correct: "The Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy train station is located right at the gates of the Disney Parks and just 2 minutes away from the Disney Hotels." Then I...

Five Worst Attractions at the Magic Kingdom

According to this calculator, I guess I'm more accurately taller than 99.96% of American males. I imagine Disney targets a range from 5' 5" to 6", anything outside of that range is a bonus. Again, not complaining. My size is my problem, not Disney's.

Five Worst Attractions at the Magic Kingdom

6' 6", athletic build for a middle-aged guy. That puts me in the 99th percentile of height for American men. The two main problems with the light cycle for me: The length of my shin. It JUST fit between where my thigh presses on the vehicle and the rear wheel. The length of my torso. Where...

Takumi-Tei to debut new menu in August

Takumi-Tei was exceptional when we are there years ago, and I would happily go back. The problem the must be struggling with is cost... $250 plus park entry makes it more expensive than V&A, which has a Michelin star. I can get an exceptional 13-course Omakase meal locally near me for $175, so...

    Grand Floridian

There's a few things that I think the Grand does very, very well. Victoria & Albert's is a Michelin star and AAA 5-Diamond restaurant for a reason. If you only have one fancy meal in your life, this is a good place to do it. There was one trip with friends where we were on property for one...

Five Worst Attractions at the Magic Kingdom

I haven't, and I would feel bad taking the spot from someone who actually needs it. I'm tall, but fortunate enough not to be disabled.

    Swiss Family Treehouse Delete

My father grew up on the Swiss Family Robinson novel, and absolutely loved the treehouse. As his generation stops coming to the parks, it will be less and less relevant. I thought the Tarzan theme they put on it in Disneyland was fun, but Tarzan's a little older now, too.

Five Worst Attractions at the Magic Kingdom

Not considering character meet-n-greets and parades: Tron Lightcycle Run. I'm tall enough that I don't fit on the cycles well, and they're uncomfortable. Tomorrowland Speedway. Loud, smelly, the cars don't really steer as much as they bump along a rail. Journey of the Little Mermaid. Mostly...

Villain’s Land Wish List & Predictions

I wonder if they won't make it parody of the rest of the park, sorta' like what they did with Toon Town originally. Specifically, a parody of Fantasyland. A Nightmare on Main Street, USA A condensed shopping and eating section, themed in the Nightmare Before Christmas style. Mother Gothel...

Why hasn't Toy Story Mania Games been updated?

It wouldn't surprise me if they don't remember how. They haven't developed a new minigame since before 2010, and as far as I know it's a custom-built game engine. It's not like they can just hire a random game studio to make a new minigame for them, since the studio would first need to learn...

To those who rode the original 20k under the sea at DW, can you share your experience?

I first rode it as a teenager, circa 1987, give or take. I remember a handful of things about it: The dive illusion was really convincing. The "fish" set pieces were static, probably plastic, fish-on-a-stick. The "getting crushed by a giant squid" effect was really, really cool. I remember...

    The future of Tomorrowland

I've heard plenty of speculation over the years. I think part of the problem is the same thing that Innoventions had, it's hard to keep "tomorrow" from looking like what tomorrow looked like ten years ago. The idea I would hear repeatedly is that the land should look like "Walt's Tomorrow" and...
