Do we know why this is the case? Is it just a lot of rides happening to hit their time at once? Deferred maintenance catching up? I would have assumed that they would have been trying to time everything to be open when Frozen is ready, but that doesn't necessarily seem to be the case?

I agree and wish that they would update it sooner - this is the classic disney cycle though; when things are good stop investing and focus just on milking the guests at the cost of deteriorating brand value and quality; then try to play catchup but have it always be later than we want and/or not...

Also it isn't just Charita who has led teams that have been creative misses. Or have we already forgotten about the whole epcot redesign? I get the feeling that she's almost become a bogeyman when there are plenty of other imagineers who have led projects that aren't loved.

Well if the rumors are to be believed, we would see the figment ride updates around 2032 (50 year anniversary)

I imagine they'll find some way to repurpose the animatronics, but idk how they would bring everything else over to another park, especially considering how far away Paris is from Anaheim.

The general issue I've heard with bringing Coco to the Mexico pavilion is that it would bring in a ton of traffic, which the pavilion might not be able to accommodate without major changes. But if the ride does amazing at DCA maybe that will help WDW justify the investment.

There are a few things that Universal needs to work with the government on. One is upgrading public transit in the area (larger train stations, better service from London, etc.). Another is negotiating tax breaks, which of course Universal will want. There are probably others as well that I...

I went to Disneyland a couple months after they reopened before Genie + was added. It was one of the best park experiences I’d had. No phone needed - go to the rides when I want to. Shorter lines. I miss that

Nope - seems like it’s gonna be another layer of complexity. I feel so bad for the cast members who will need to deal with angry visitors who bought the wrong one and can’t get on everything

Assuming they do keep normal lightning lane too, you’ll end up having even more people in the LL lines. This will require the cast members to even further prioritize that line, and then normal lines will get even longer. Very disappointing
