Yes, I was thinking the same thing when I rode the ride. The frogs are larger in person.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

I wonder if this will help Disney increase table dining service reservations. When we were there recently, previously hard to get reservations had many same day openings. We were very surprised. Maybe some people were hesitant to book dining as it could impact Genie+ timing?

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

What's interesting if you think about it, Disney probably had better data with Fastpass+ that would have been very close to reservations. It wouldn't have been limited to those that paid money for it and Disney had the data 30 days in advance for most people. They essentially already had a...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

I didn't know about annual pass benefit. That is nice. I have not been to Universal and was looking at 2 ticket days this summer with express pass. It would have cost me over $2200 for only 2 days with a family of 4. The express pass regular would have been $190 per day per person. If I had...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Genie+ is annoying because we cannot pick the time. There were so many times this last trip where rides were giving earlier availability than what I wanted for a later day park arrival. Several times I thought to myself that I missed Fastpass+. I'm actually surprised to see so much negativity...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Disney is actually the most affordable version I have seen of this, compared to Universal (I get it's a better system, but it is expensive when you add it on top of tickets for a family) and local theme parks in my area.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Actually, I think it could go the opposite way (more people buying more Lightning Lanes). My family lives out of state, so when we go, we do pay extra for things to help maximize our time vs. waiting in line. When I pay day by day, I will buy Genie+ in the beginning of the trip. But as the trip...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Did Magic Kingdom used to have tiers under Fastpass+? For some reason, I am only remembering Hollywood Studios and EPCOT with tiers

I've been calling Genie+ Lightning Lane anyway, so glad they changed the name to that lol

Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

Last year, we rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train twice back to back with like a 10 minute wait during the party closer to midnight.

Rumor What is everyone’s confidence level that a Villain’s land will happen?

I believe Disney knows it could be a valuable land. I think it depends on EPIC Universe success. If EPIC becomes a strong competitor against MK and Universal continues to add and brings more competition for WDW, I could see Villains Land either being added to MK or becoming part of a 5th gate...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

It will be a good presentation if they don't take an hour to recap everything already happening or things that just opened. Give us a 5 minute montage and then jump right into announcements 😂

The ride stopped briefly at least 3 times while I was on it. I don't know if it was due to loading passengers or something was wrong with the ride. I'm not sure if the ride was evacuated or down at all today. But DVC previews were only for about 3 hours total.

I rode during DVC previews today. I was disappointed after the POV. IMO, the POV did not do the ride justice. It's a different feel from Splash Mountain, but it is still good. It's hard to see some of the details in the POV. It feels more like a fun time (similar to Mine Train), including the...

    Tiana’s Bayou Adventure SPOILER Thread

There were YouTube videos out right before they announced the ride with Are You Ready? Many saw what it could be, so Disney not only had to overcome Splash Mountain redo, but also this really good idea. I've been gone for a few days. It appears the overall reviews are similar to the POV...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I think if Disney eventually fixed the lift hill / shrinking room to add tension, this would make a large enough difference. Maybe add in a few more animatronics to the empty spaces as well. I don't think a full redo will be necessary.

Just watched Tokyo's Splash Mountain POV. Oh my, it is beautiful! The prior versions in DL and WDW didn't even compare. I really hope they don't get rid of it.

Maybe. I'm guessing they wanted cast members and bloggers to see it in advance so they could be prepared. A person's reaction will be less negative riding it if they see it in advance.
