News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Disney+ multi park option ($27) cost us about $108/day on the days we bought it during our May trip. That was for a group of 4 people.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

We should start seeing results in LL of fewer DAS users in a couple of days. Was surprised to read that a lot of people are turned off by anything Disney - they're boycotting. People say one thing and do another but, on the other hand, Bud Light sales decreased by 25% for a while and they...

I don't know if others were given return times but I do know that others were talking about leaving the line. In the past, everyone was given return times when a ride broke down. After we were denied, we left.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Because the last time I was Disney in 2015 or 2016 and rides broke down, people in line were offered slips of paper with a return time. It happened to us at Test Track.

Think I posted about my experience. I asked for a return time because Soarin' was broken down. Quite a long line had built up. After 20 -25 minutes or so, I left the line with my family because of pain. I went to the CM where the entrance is and asked for a return time. He threw up his hands...

Really? We never had a problem getting a private VIP tour if that's what you mean. My favorite was the semi private VIP tour because it was about 1/4 the cost. Wasn't private but with only about 10 people, it wasn't bad.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

There were reservations available at CRT a couple of weeks before our trip. That was a reservation that used to poof almost immediately right at the 60 day mark. With the exception of Sci Fi and CRT (didn't want it but checked anyway) we could make table service reservations anywhere while at...

Maybe I was not looking in the right places but for the heck of it, I looked for blue umbrellas on our trip week before last and did not see one in any of the parks.

That person was me and hello, the people with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) work with people who are disabled. That's their job. If others want to call, great, if not, that's great too. I had questions some of which were answered and I shared what I learned. There was conjecture all...

Cheaters are liars. IMO, they will delight in acting their way through Disney parks. Then, they can laugh at the CMs they fooled.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I was referring to your post about enclosed spaces and how the situations I described could also be problematic if disabled people with that problem looked at everything as "the sky is falling". I pointed out that we have enough challenges and don't go looking for "what ifs".

We brought our grandsons to Dollywood last year about this time. Had my rollator and a staff member approached me about getting a card for attractions. I was just getting over an episode and did not feel well enough to ride but I did appreciate that staff member reached out to me. Reminded me of...

If you go with this idea, then, a bathroom lock could break, an elevator could stop, a building might have to be evacuated, etc. Disabled people are aware anything can happen but we have enough "ifs" is our lives without catastrophizing things that might go wrong. Besides my physical...

I'm not so sure. IMO, Disney is doing what they believe they can get away with for now. The suits will come amnd even if successful, Disney will keep them in court as long as they can.

I don't know if they can or not but as someone with a history of shellfish anaphylaxis, I won't take a chance. Meaning, if a dish has shellfish, I wouldn't ask for it even with the shellfish removed.

Kilamanjaro was uncomfortable for sure. That said, how would I have known if I didn't try it? I did ride FoP and it was smooth and didn't bother me. Again, how would I know unless I tried. Besides this, I don't know the anatomical mechanics but I do know what I can tolerate. Then theres what the...
