News Blizzard Beach reopening early November 2024

So tired of this swapping. We’re local passholders but we’ve been to blizzard beach only once since late 2019. It’s usually too cold when it’s open. We went last year on a warmish day in November, but the water was so cold, and it was too cloudy help warm us out of the water, so we only lasted...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

The ones we did previously you went to a website and reserved a day/time ahead of time. So you had an idea well in advance if/when you were going. I never had issues grabbing spots when it was that way, and we could plan ahead.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

The family doesn’t want to ride it bad enough to get up early if I got an early slot. Also I can’t take the morning off from work anyway because of meetings, so afternoon is what I’ve got. We’re local anyway, so we’ll get on it at some point, not a big deal. I do miss the previous way of...

We have reservations again tomorrow so I may try again at 1pm. We’ll see what happens. If we don’t get it, oh well.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

I did do it right before actually, and I got the button and immediately clicked join and got the “there was a problem”. Refreshed that and it was gone. Ridiculous process. Getting into the previous passholder previews was not this difficult.

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue and Lighting Lane status

Wow I tried to get into the 1pm queue, hit refresh right at 1pm, got the button, immediately hit join and instantly all slots were gone in less than a few seconds. Edit: read back in the thread. I had no idea how quick these 1pm drops were going. I was super quick on the button too. Jeez I...

News Typhoon Lagoon Reopens March 17, 2024

Yep ridiculous. We’re local passholders and used to love alternating water parks in the summer. We finally went to Blizzard Beach on an 80 degree day in a late November because it had been over 4 years since we’d last been and just wanted to go. But because of the nighttime temps the water...

News Peak heat index to hit 112F at Walt Disney World theme parks this week

i wouldn’t want to wait in line for splash mountain in this heat. That line was always steamy, especially the inside portion. And you aren’t even guaranteed to get that wet. Now Philharmagic is probably pretty popular.

News Peak heat index to hit 112F at Walt Disney World theme parks this week

yea our AC in our 2012 Highlander broke this week. Luckily we have another vehicle my wife can drive to work and I work from home. But I’m basically homebound when she’s at work since it’s too damn hot to go anywhere in a car with no AC.

News Peak heat index to hit 112F at Walt Disney World theme parks this week

Yep this. I also live in the area, Windermere (or windernear to some), about 3.5 miles from Magic Kingdom. This summer is different than the past especially this week. The heat is brutal and can be unrelenting because we aren’t getting the same storm coverage. Yesterday no rain near us at...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

I live about 3 miles from Magic kingdom. It’s brutally hot here today. My thermometer outside said 100 before some clouds rolled in and cooled it off to a brisk 96. We’re passholders but no way I’d go to the parks today.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

come on, they have plenty of time. They can fit it in right between doing absolutely nothing to address the homeowners insurance disaster in this state, and doing nothing to address our huge teacher shortage.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

Long time lurker here, but had to register to post because there isn’t much discussion elsewhere. As a Florida resident living right next to magic kingdom, this stuff is absolutely EXHAUSTING. We have a lot of real problems affecting people in this state, and this is how this clown decides to...
