News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I assume the iron arch is the delineator, so you’ll still have BaseLine and that block of shop facades across the street.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I think most probably agree with the sentiment that the trend of everything being a unified IP land is tired, but I’m not really bothered by the appearance of this area. It looks like a nicely refreshed version of what is already there, and it blends well with whatever will remain of the...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I am generally understanding, but this can't be that hard.

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

This isn’t the worst outcome. Still annoyed Animation Courtyard will persist for a bit longer and I’m generally meh on Monsters as IP, but at least it’s an actual add. Also, Muppets might actually get me to ride RnR again.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

... You could also just complain about the placement, appearance, IP, and whatnot without invoking largely nonsensical concerns about the vehicles moving on their own like in nearly every other ride ever.

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Yes, but that doesn't mean every Cars attraction has to use exactly that system. On top of that, I'm not even arguing about how well this will potentially work relative to RSR. It could very well be a poorer realization of the IP. I'm just saying that the perceived novelty of self-driving...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I get what you're saying, but the tech is ... a car driving. You're not supposed to be in awe of the self-driving system; you're supposed to feel like one of the vehicles from Cars is driving you around. This seems a sensible means to achieve that. Whether or not the attraction is successful...

News Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

This isn't meant to be an exhibition of self-driving technology, which is why it's fundamentally different from and not at all comparable to Innoventions. Whether or not the technology becomes old news is irrelevant because that's not the point. If they're replicating a fictional world in which...

EPCOT's Mission SPACE set to undergo exterior refresh

The Mission: SPACE signage is in the planter to the right. I think that one in the center is just where the topiary goes during F&G.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Seeing what they’re doing more closely, it doesn’t look like permanent removal, at least not yet. They wouldn’t just be slapping another plastic cover on top since the durability of that is part of what caused issues in the first place. I think they’d swap out the lighting channel for something...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

By the way, in one of Bioreconstruct's recent shots, you can see on the left that they're now facing the lower level around the main entrance with stone. I really hope this wraps around to the back, particularly to the otherwise featureless wall currently facing the pool.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Better than an embarrassing flickering trip hazard, but this should have been the interim solution months ago, not the likely end of the story. Hopefully the apparent surrender on this signals that they'll ultimately just rethink the planter entirely, but yeah. Not great. This isn't a thing that...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

You were responding to a comment about Innoventions. Innoventions was a series of interactive exhibits with a variety of sponsors. Now, you have a series of interactive areas themed to Disney programming (the Moana IP) as you suggested. Whether or not water is involved in the exhibits is pretty...

It's okay. I'm told she has epigenetic generational trauma, so we're supposed to ignore it or whatever.

    D23 Brazil

Indy + Star Tours + Muppets seems like the only string of three anyone would care about in DHS. People actively want Launch Bay to die, and I doubt they'd level the Fantasmic corridor at the moment. In Magic Kingdom, there could be a variety of targets all over the place, notably in...

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

I don’t really see how? You’d be switching from a modern land where dinosaurs are extinct to one in the Pleistocene, which would still require a similar level of re-theming in order to work well unless you made two side-by-side time travel attractions.
