Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Same experience here. Even on Thanksgiving week I found it easy to use. We would usually do one park in the morning and then plan another in the evening. It was really easy to line things up and I felt like there was good value. I was skeptical of the change but it worked for us and was less...

Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

Oof the Christmas parties at MK this year were not enjoyable in the slightest. Way overcrowded. Last year we went on the same day and it was awesome with noticeably lower crowds than the daytime and low waits. This year felt like like a mid afternoon crowd on a holiday. We probably won’t do...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

We went to Epcot on Sunday. This was not a Disney trip but we had an extra day in Orlando and really wanted to ride Guardians. The morning was very quiet but the afternoon was pretty busy (lots of tour groups). We had a fantastic day and got so much done. We did buy lightning lane (plus...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

For those that really loved FP+ and are missing it when did you travel? Did you ever try using it during a super busy holiday week? We can only go during school breaks and in those weeks (like Thanksgiving) you got a rope drop ride, your three FP rides and that was it. By lunchtime things...

News Iger at Parks This Week

LOL. No. I am very, very unimpressed that the extra revenue is going straight into board members pockets and nothing is being done to make the parks better. Even though I DO like Genie+ after our next trip we will be taking a break because there will be nothing new for us to check out...for...

News Iger at Parks This Week

We used Genie+ during Thanksgiving week and it worked perfectly. We were able to ride basically anything we wanted to with minimum waiting. Due to school it's one of the only weeks we can travel if we want to avoid summer so Thanksgiving it is. You know what never worked well during...

    No Cameras on Space Mountain

Not just phones but loose things in general. We were just there and they were very strict on not wearing a hat on Space Mountain as well. They said it's a new policy. I'm good with it and am okay if it carries to other thrill rides. Could hopefully help with unexpected downtime on rides.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

We just got back yesterday. We used Genie+ every day and it worked great. Honestly we had a wonderful week. We were able to ride whatever we wanted to with minimal waiting the first hour of the day and then layered Genie+ rides for late morning and after dinner. I was able to secure 5 or 6...

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

I am totally here for this. It is about time that there are actual benefits to splurging on a deluxe hotel. I can't wait to hear more. Unfortunately I bet this won't be available for our dates (Thanksgiving).

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

The thing helping Texas is that the big cities have a pretty high vaccination rate. As of May 22nd 54% of Houstonians (not sure if this is adults or total population) have had at least their first shot. 45.5% are fully vaccinated. 96.4% of adults over 60 have had at least their first shot. I...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Not true. I am in Texas and our district and all surrounding districts have already said the goal for the next school year is to operate like normal. The mask mandate ends June 1st. I personally think it's way too soon to put that in the universe but they did. It will be interesting to see...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I think one thing that will help younger people get vaccinated is quarantine rules. It won't be a vaccine passport but if you can avoid quarantining for two weeks after an exposure you will see a lot more young people get vaccinated. Eventually WFH flexibility will run out. Same with kids...
