News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

This has definitely been the plan for while now. Unfortunate that the only things in the pipeline in the nearest term are rethemes rather than whole new builds. 2024 - Tiana 2025 - Test Track 3 2026 - ??? (Muppets RnRC??) Curious if anything else significant pops up for 2026.

News Villains Land Announced for Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

I run a school trip of 80-100 high school kids every two years. 5 Day trip (one day at each WDW park and 1 hopper day for Universal). At the end of each trip I always send out a survey to collect data for future planning and Magic Kingdom always rates as the least favorite day by far. If...

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Yes let's completely disregard the lost revenue from parks / theaters being shut down, and then reduced revenue from phased reopenings. The canceled park projects are a drop in the financial bucket relative to the cuts everywhere else in the company at that time.

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

How dare they build a fictitious land with fake nature and fake animals in the area of the park where they were going to build a a fictitious land with fake nature and fake animals. Pandora > Beastly Kingdom

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

24th is the first day of my trip 🙃 Do we have official confirmation that the new bookings will begin at 7AM that day?

Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Forgetting realistic for a second, here's a small wishlist of things I'd love to see at some point in the future. 1. More Skyliner 2. More World Showcase attractions 3. One more bigger thrill attraction in Magic Kingdom 4. A family coaster in DAK 5. One more Pandora Attraction 6. One more Star...

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

FIFY. No need to use all-inclusive wording to strengthen your subjective opinion. But no book reports outside of fantasyland please. And original attractions are cool, but IP driven original storylines can be even more effective. Flight of Passage is my favorite attraction. I fell in love with...

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

"No more unoriginal IP attractions!" *Disney creates a new original story based on IP* "I can't believe they didn't include everything from the movie!" 🙄🙄🙄

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Don't underestimate the staffing shortages when it comes to a lot of the decisions that have been made recently. If you can't staff your current capacity how are you supposed to create more? I cannot believe that 13,000 people are going to magically appear in Orlando and want to work in theme...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Coco could work in Mexico if they did a Ratatouille type expansion. Current pavilion is the "real" culture, and a path around the back or side would take you into a "fictional" Mexico in Santa Cecilia. Coco deserves more representation somewhere.

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Depends on where you're timing from. Launch to final brakes: VelociCoaster ~1:08 Tron ~0:58 From leaving the station to final brakes: VelociCoaster ~1:30 Tron ~1:24 One is a far superior coaster and experience all around. But I wouldn't say that the timed length of the rides is the reason...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

Definitely feels out of place in the current TL, but I'd argue that's because none of the rest of it feels like "tomorrowland". If you scrapped the whole land and started from scratch, the only thing you would keep in its current form is Tron. I would love to see that aesthetic extended to other...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

We all want pure expansion and capacity increase. But realistically, things are always going to need to be replaced. Universe of Energy / Ellen's were fine attractions for an older vision of Epcot. But neither moves the needle in a modern theme park. Guardians is a stellar attraction. We can't...

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

The last 8 years: 3 New Lands, 10 new rides (11 with Tiana). The previous 8 years: 1 New Land. 3 new rides (New Fantasyland & Frozen Ever After) Yup. It's the current era we should be complaining about 😒

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

You're entitled to your own opinions, but if we get $10 Billion worth of Guardians priced/quality attractions (~22 new attractions), I'm moving to Orlando.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Each of my last two visits to DAK, the tigers on the Jungle Trek had the first viewing window shut. When we went around to the viewing area on the other side, the Tiger was stalking and pacing back and forth right outside the closed window.

News Test Track to be reimagined

Primeval Whirl was put into seasonal operation in summer of 2019. I'm not sure when it operated after that point but it was announced that it wouldn't reopen once the parks came back from the Covid closure and was subsequently dismantled.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland has a significantly higher rating than Dinosaur on Touring Plans for all demographics (excluding preschoolers!). If it was just a clone of that I'd still consider it an upgrade. If it's a 'new' story with upgraded effects and story-telling, that's a bigger win.

Rumor Moana E-Ticket Ride to Adventureland

Take the last D23 and Destination events.. 2 years ago we got almost no concrete announcements and a brainstorming session of "what they could do". Not great, Bob. Last year we got a handful of actual smaller announcements (Test Track 3.0, CBJ, Zootopia Show), followed by actual art and IP...

News Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

This chart has been floated on a few threads, but this was the allocation they shared. Dedicating funds to tech & maintenance is definitely a good thing.
