DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Have the announced the dates for those yet other than the vague Summer 2025? I may have missed it, but I wonder if Muppet Vision 3D closing on June 7 gives us any insight that at least one of those will be open by then.

Word on the street is that LL have a larger grace period now, beyond the 15 minutes like you experienced.

    Rumor Disneyland Paris Project/Rumor Tracker

Just found out Phantom Manor closes the day we are going, Nov 18. Really bummed out about that, might have been the one ride I was really looking forward to.

Disney "Upfront" on Tuesday, May 14, 4 PM ET - New News Incoming?

I believe the rumor is that all of the names it has gone through are actual episode names. If true, I actually think that was a pretty genius marketing idea to keep a name of a character that isn't well known outside of the Wanda show in the cycle over the years. Also, they already did, lol:

    MagicBand+ announced

I'm guessing there is some sync process from the master database to each location. That can be a single server at each location and/or every single touch point like key card access systems. Reducing the total amount of active MB to each location is critical to reducing lag time of the sync process.

    MagicBand+ announced

Yeah, it'd be nice if you could delete them completely. My guess is that the tables stores all MB and has a reference key to a user. This might be why they can't be deleted because they would then lose track of that Serial Number already being linked to a person and we know it can't be...

    MagicBand+ announced

Yeah, this sounds like trying to optimize the database system by removing bands that are still active but not used. Though a more logical thing would be anything that hasn't been scanned in 5 years is automatically deactivated. But, perhaps they don't store that information so doing all Serial...

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

The thing you are forgetting is (at least for those who genuinely need DAS) is that those things such as restrooms/eating can take MUCH longer than abled bodied persons.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

I disagree, especially with a family that can ride all the rides. Rider switch works for rides where there are children too small to ride. I know there are other use cases, but this is the biggest reason. Otherwise, families would not be able to ride the ride at all. It is a choice to separate...

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Rider switch ain't it for DAS. Sorry. So families would not be able to enjoy rides together? DAS family now need to wait the full wait time + LL wait time for basically any ride (ok, maybe not for rides with 10-15 minute standby). Ummm...what if the 3rd/4th person are children? Just gonna leave...

MK Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I actually think that was just a copy/paste issue as that is the end date of Disneyland transition: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/disability-access-service/ Though, that doesn't rule out WHY WDW is transitioning sooner.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

TBF, I don't think they were saying DAS was sparsely used by groups of 6 or less. They were saying it wasn't a large number of individual groups of 15+ using it and that maybe some misunderstood different large groups that could have access to LL and thinking it was DAS.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

That second part isn't really new. I believe when they rolled out the pre-registration they also had that verbiage. Whether or not they actually took any action is another matter.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Hope you're not calling me one? lol. I do agree it's a slippery slope, but if we are all in a single same room, clearly we should be considered family unit. Editing to add: Clearly that slippery slope becomes real when you are talking about 2/3 room suites that can hold 3 different families...

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

You go tell someone with autism that they can't ride with their whole family. That can be your job since you don't seem to want to accept why Disney would want to accommodate more than 1 companion.

News New DAS System at Walt Disney World 2024

Yeah, I definitely can see why they need to limit. Also can see them wanting to limit against say two different families of 3-4 going on vacation together. That said, the last two times we had access to DAS, my brother came with us, so a family of 5. He did stay in the room with us, and the...
