New 166 million Shanghai Disneyland Ride?

Only thing that can fit in that space worth $166M is some sort of motion simulator?

News Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Visual guide for the DHS timeline (so far) and general WDW & UOR timeline. This is just my best estimate. I know Disney builds slow, but they can build fast when needed to, and I think this 10-year plan will done at a rather quick rate.

Universal's food is still pretty bad

Universal has improved slightly, but lightyears beyond where they should be. Minion Cafe/Circus McGurkus are an exception, it's high-quality and possibly top 5 QSR options in Orlando. However, there's not much else after that. When Mel's went down for refurb, they reopened Cafe La Bamba with...

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

I don't think so, it was a great choice as it's considered (by most) as the world's greatest roller coaster. The issue is that Universal had a bunch of duds that could have been more impressive experiences for families (Villain-Con, DreamWorks, etc.). Excited for Epic, but I would have a...

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

Disney is promoting a ridiculous amount of FL resident deals, so it's helping them push people into the parks. Universal is unfortunately risking it all for Epic Universe. While I enjoy the additions of Velocicoaster & Hagrid, their attendence declines show that they're still lacking in...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Yes, this is the one ride that worries me about Epic. It has a ridicously low throughput. VelociCoaster's capacity is double this yet this one more undoubetbly be more popular due to IP and being more family-friendly. I hope the interval rates go down, but I doubt it. It's already at a 15-sec...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

I think land by land SNW - The Mushroom Kingdom area will be well built and hide most (if not all) of the surrounding area. Donkey Kong might have some visual intrusions from on ride due to lack of a significant berm on the northern side. Over the years the bamboo should do a decent job at...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

To be fair, there are still buildings & utilities easily visible throughout Hagrid's... both onboard and offride. As for HTTYD coaster, as of right the backside of Mead Hall will be quite easily seen on the ride, similar to how you see a few BoH buildings on Slinky Dog. It's just for a few...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

Alicia Stella (and others) have been saying this for about 2 years now. Nothing new. While I'd love Epic Universe to get an immediate expansion, the two current parks (especially USF) need to be prioritized. Epic (along with some of the other UDE ventures in the works) has put a strain on the...

Walt Disney World Holiday Season 2024

I sincerely doubt you waited 30 minutes for a F&W booth. The lines can be long, but Disney does a fantastic job at getting through the line as quickly as possible. 10-15 minute can happen at times during busier periods, but a 30-minute wait is very rare.

    Efteling's Danse Macabre - re-imagining done right

Exactly. A highly themed flat ride that can fit it's nearby location. That's it. No need to overcomplicate with a preshow or anything else.

    Efteling's Danse Macabre - re-imagining done right

These are the type of flat rides that Disney (and Universal) need to do. Smaller attractions that are cheap to do and round out the park's attractions.

    News Disney Jollywood Nights 2024

Just for reference, this is SeaWorld's ice show... (1 of 3 major stage shows for the holidays included in park admission).

    WDW Hot Takes

I agree that Disney needs to get back to making longer attractions. However, I disagree that modern day IPs can't make a good long-term addition to the parks. Unfortunately, the domestic parks have hit a bad streak of these additions, but the international parks have proven you can develop...

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

They were still offering the standard Multi Pass option, so LL should have still been filled with those guests in addition to premier.

    Lightning Lane Premier Pass

I was at MK last night and the Lightning Lanes were surprisingly quiet later on in the evening. I have to imagine they severely limited sales to prioritize this new pass and prevent any negative reports.

    Universal Mega Movie Parade

I wouldn't call it "expanding" since this was always planned, just delayed lol

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens May 22 2025

It doesn't seem to be in proper show lighting yet as they're trying to showcase the figure itself. I'd imagine the ride will be a lot darker.

    HHN 2024

Completely understand that HHN has modified their event over the years to accommodate scare actor safety, but there's a difference between placing a boo hole an additional 1-2 feet away from guests, and 8-10 feet away. Triplets suffers from this with lots of scares far away from guests... but...

    HHN 2024

I agree - I am an avid fan of HHN, and this year I felt forced to visit with my UFF pass. The houses are still being built with great quality, but they've leaned too much to story backgrounds. I also think a few houses this year suffer structurally with boo holes being built way too far for...
