Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Took them long enough, but at least they finally see the potential. 🙂 Now it really is more a matter of when than if it will happen.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

We're not talking about that. The millennium hub was messy and missing trees. THIS is what we're talking about: Clean, orderly pathways with plenty of green space, trees, and a kinetic water feature that functionally make sense with the surrounding architecture. I don't understand why this...

Oh, thank goodness. Happy to be wrong. 🙂

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

OK that makes sense. Construction photos show the show building being constructed around/over the turntable so a redo would most likely involve at least taking the roof/image works off. Or, to put it simply, the turntable is epcot's version of the everest yeti.

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I don't see why they couldn't gut the remains of the turntable and simply build a new one in its place. The walls and 40ish% of the track are there unless it was built before the building was fully enclosed during original construction. If not that, then maybe gut the entire turntable part of...

Rumor Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Just slapping dreamfinder onto the current ride would be extremely cheap. The pavilion needs more than a simple rebrand. At least reinstall the missing 40% of the track.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

It would be just fine if it matched the surrounding architecture. Unfortunately, it does not, so it's sticking out like a sore thumb. I guarantee people will consider this structure ugly and outdated after 5-10 years.

News Test Track to be reimagined

The canopy was a leftover from the GM preview center set up in late 1996 while the pavilion was closed. They simply never took it down until now.

News Test Track to be reimagined

This is all a major win in my book. I'm genuinely excited to see the results of this. Here's hoping the musical score is of the same quality as the current, and Test Track might just return to my #1 spot in the park. (No I haven't ridden guardians yet don't @ me)

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Test Track is closing June 17th for its overhaul. New concept art was released this morning with a replacement for the current canopy and a new entrance sign.

News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

My only gripe is ditching dinosaurs entirely. Maybe I'm the only one here who actually enjoyed DINOSAUR, but if we had to insert IP, couldn't there have been some way to keep dinosaurs in the park? Dinosaur has been my favorite in the park for years and I believe it was both highly underrated...

News Test Track to be reimagined

With Communicore Hall opening June 10th, I'd say this is definitely realistic timing for a July closure.

News Test Track to be reimagined

If that's the case, I'd rather not. We have enough massive box structures backstage in that part of the park and more importantly I don't want to see the front of the building covered up more than it already is. Unfortunately, the reduced downtime is very, very enticing though.

    Test Track

Kind of wish it was in September so I could drive down for the last day. Oh well.

News Test Track to be reimagined

Doubt it. People ride test track for the outdoor speed portion. Removing it would defeat the purpose of having the ride system in the first place. Though, to make it work there would have to be a serious redo of the layout inside including potentially adding another floor inside the building...

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

Agreed. I like to ask myself whether certain exhibits would be acceptable today. Body Wars? Probably not Cranium Command? I'd say no, but this is probably the one most likely to still work in today's environment. The hands-on exhibits? Debatable The Making of Me? Definitely not for multiple...

News Test Track to be reimagined

The only track switch in TT is the switch to maintenance that bypasses load. Unless they reduce the size of the maintenance bay, I have a hard time seeing how they could fit one in given the space constraints.
