If that sad day ever does come and Disney decides to remove the COP I would love to see it donated to the Queens museum. It’s located at the site of the NYC Worlds Fair where it debuted in 1964. However, I’m afraid the upkeep cost would be very expensive for any museum to maintain properly.

I can back up that there were still a few variations competing when this was initially announced last summer. Not drastically different but they did finally land on the option with the most water.

Well I’m not sure what your source is but I can tell you when I worked the Cool Ship, 24 years ago it was in our training that the base of the ship was one of the ships from flight of the navigator. Doesn’t mean it’s correct but Disney themselves have been claiming this for at least that long.
