News Walt Disney Company plans to spend $17 billion at Walt Disney World over the next ten years

I'm in the camp here of being a bit older and hopefully wiser to recognize and believe Iger has nothing concrete in mind for how he plans to spend $17B. It was simply PR and political posturing. That aside, even if a huge expansion was coming to WDW over the next 10 years, I no longer...

2023 Walt Disney Company Annual Meeting Of Shareholders

The cast members are a big part of what has made a Disney Park visit magical. WDW without CM's .... I'll pass.

What ride going away would bother you the most

Haunted Mansion. I love other rides almost as much, but if the HM were to get shut down, I'd never go to WDW again.

Retiring and dealing with your Disney addiction

I've always enjoyed reading your level-headed, commonsense posts. You seem like a great person. Now that I've read your travelogue.......will you adopt me and take me with you from now on :)

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I haven't followed this thread in a long time but as it was at the top of the thread list, I was reminded that Tron was announced SIX (6) years ago. It took only 1 1/2 years to build the entire original Magic Kingdom. Good grief....

WSJ: Disney Downtime increases as cost of visiting goes up

Bob Iger and now Bob Chapek regularly earned/earn over $30M in annual compensation and routinely had/have their contracts extended time and again. The parks are packed and nothing, not price increases, not attraction downtime, not anything seems to be affecting attendance. For every "me"...

the old feeling is gone.... or at least reduced a lot..

Back in the day when visiting WDW, I didn't have to do that. My expectations were high and they were exceeded every time. Not so any more. That's why we stopped going. I love what I remember WDW being, that's why I read these forums I guess...hoping that the tide may turn and WDW goes...

    strollers, strollers, strollers

I'm sitting on a plane at the moment (waiting to taxi) and just observed two large strollers making their way on board. The number and size of strollers getting on planes these days is getting crazy too. We sure didn't travel that way when our kids were younger.....

News Park specific pricing will join date based pricing for single day Disney World park tickets

That's kind of what has happened to food packaging. A half gallon of ice cream kept the same pricing for years ... except the container has slowly shrunk...the experience keeps shrinking.

News Park specific pricing will join date based pricing for single day Disney World park tickets

They're not for you ... and definitely not for me, but apparently the Orlando parks are worth it to lots of folks at any price. Sadly.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

"Corporate Speak" and "Politician Speak" are both about one thing only....telling you what they want you to believe while dancing around the outright untruths.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

BINGO! My family withdrew our business and we're not coming back. But one family here and there won't move the needle. Until Bob feels the pain at the gate, this is what will keep happening. If you keep going, Bob and Josh interpret that as you like what they are doing. The ball's in...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek suggests price hikes are coming to the parks thanks to guest demand

I'd think that with the bottom line being what it is, the Board interprets guest satisfaction as being pretty high
