News Disney and Miral Announce New Seventh Theme Park Planned for Abu Dhabi

Looking at Yas island on Google Maps it's got to be going somewhere towards the north. But that doesn't seem like a big area. Hong Kong Disneyland is 68 acres, Farrari World (also on Yas Island) is about 21 acres but over many floors. I can't see it being very big?

    UK Offers for 2023

I don’t mind the cost increase it just seems without benefits like the free dinning plan and vouchers it’s a significant jump. Food for a family of 4 for 2 weeks is about £2.5k - which when you add on top of the already over the top price increases is horrible.

    UK Offers for 2023

That’s odd I can book up to December in 2023 - it’s just so expensive!

    UK Offers for 2023

I thought the dinning plans were announced to come back sometime in 2022?

    UK Offers for 2023

I have been waiting for the 2023 offers to drop for a few months now. We normally get them at the end of April, but instead, we have got a new 20% off 2022 offer. Does anyone have a guess when we might see the offers for 2023? I'm currently trying to plan a big family holiday and I'm seeing...

How did WDW change for you when you went back with kids?

I would partially agree, but we aren't going for them to make memories we are going for us to experience their joy in being there and plan on going more than once while they are kids - It would blow my current 2.5-year-olds mind to meet Mickey Mouse. Thanks for the info, that's exactly what I'm...

How did WDW change for you when you went back with kids?

After what seems like a lifetime we are finally planning to return to WDW in late 2023/early 2024. We will be coming with a young family (3.5years and 18month), probably staying for 2 weeks. We previously loved the dinning plan, going to nice restaurants, riding all the big rides and meeting...

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

I was only looking at direct flights so i didn’t see them. Has anyone flown with TUI? I know they have their own planes (or use to) for flights to MCO.

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

Not sure when they launch it but looking at Feb next year the only option I have is a layover.

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

Thanks, just took a quick look (I have a spreadsheet tracking all these) and I can't see a big difference (using AA). I haven't tried it with a VPN yet.

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

Virgin & BA, both fly from LHR which is very convenient for us. Unfortunately we have to do direct, have a young child and I'm already not looking forward to MCO so through 2 airports doesn't sound like fun.

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

@mkt Congratulations! I keep looking at flight prices and they still seem to be £600 (£700 if you want luggage). On our last trip the flights were £320 with luggage.

Big air travel shake-up for UK visitors flying to Orlando

I agree, going to wait until the end of 2023/ start of 2024. The flight prices at the moment are crazy and the discounts are poor. I’m also hoping that we get Genie+ as part of the UK ticket.

DVC is it worth it for guest from the UK?

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I think I'm going to have to update my spreadsheets to go for Standard rooms. I see lots of people talk about Saratoga as the best value, is it just the lower dues? Room size? Lower points? Price per point? How much do I need to worry about the lease length...

DVC is it worth it for guest from the UK?

Thanks for all the info. The DVC rep told me that 5% of AKL stock is value, but he didn’t think there would be a problem booking value at a 11 month window - that’s why I was looking at AKL. The UK perks makes this a lot harder because you are right I wouldn’t get any of them (except the...

DVC is it worth it for guest from the UK?

Unfortunately not, up until 2019 we didn’t have kids so we’re more than happy to have a room in a moderate resort. I’m trying to get in early so that we can maximise our value for money while the kids are young.

DVC is it worth it for guest from the UK?

Just looking at it and the resale cost is between 50-75% of that from Disney. Considering I won’t be using the biggest perk - discounted annual passes, I’m not sure if I would ever recoup that money ($7500). I’m also struggling to find what discounts on merchandise you get etc? Their website...

DVC is it worth it for guest from the UK?

We are seriously considering buying into DVC. I've read a lot of websites, done all the research and spoken to DVC a lot. I'm just working on my spreadsheet. With the help of a lot of websites I've got the spreadsheet up and running and it looks like we would break even after 4 trips, however...

News Disney's Magical Express to end after 2021

Baggage wasn't collected for international flights and I never had any problem getting the baggage on the same bus as us - but that could be to do with time. Flights from the UK tend to land early afternoon and once you are through immigration it's more like early evening.

News Disney's Magical Express to end after 2021

As someone from the UK there is always a question with whether your data connection will work. Data roaming costs a small fortune and most phone makers switch it off by default for this reason (this stumps a lot of people who don't travel often). I also remember having a difficult time using...
