    "Fantastic Worlds" 4th gate

Follows the model of "Islands of Adventure" and "Magic Kingdom" and their various lands/islands. This works.

    MARVEL Mini-Land at EPCOT?

UO has to perform regular upkeep on the Marvel themed area as per the contract, IIRC. Ultimately, I agree. Comcast wants 100% of Sky, and things like the Marvel theme park rights are a pittance against the value of that company. They may not agree to an immediate relinquishment, but I can see...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Getting really exciting to see things ramp up at the expansion site. Very eager to see what Universal has in store for the new park and what new resorts they will build.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Ok. Hadn't seen pics of that. I'd seen some other mass grading on other south side of the property, but not the north side.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Looks to be just a construction traffic road. Still it is very heartening to see that they aren't wasting anytime getting the project going. Kind of surprising that they didn't start on the north end where all of the warehouses and office builders are going.

    Sesame Street Land

Overall, yes I think Sesame Street is a major IP with a lot of value to young kids. That said, pairing up with SeaWorld probably wasn't the best option for them. Then again, with Universal pressed for space and still ramping up for their expansion at the new site, they probably couldn't...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I can't recall which article it was (it was one behind a paywall), but they sourced a Universal Orlando source (who wished to remain anonymous) who said that they were in negotiation with the city about funding part of the Kirkman project. It would be a major road for them to utilize for their...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

All of the major hurdles are now clear. Universal filed mass grading permits and is expected to have their master permit filed before the end of the summer. From what I've gleaned from a variety of different articles is that they want to start construction by 2020. If this is correct, then they...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Some movement from some filings on 4/26. Universal filed updated mass grading permits. The new development area is starting to take shape. Looking at a grand total of 578.1 acres for development currently. Universal is expected to file an updated master plan.

new Universal resorts named and up dates

Universal deserves a lot of credit. I'm very excited by these prospects and makes me very curious what they'll have in store over at the new property.

SeaWorld may be up for sale. Who should buy them?

Interesting. I have to wonder if Six Flags is ready to throw its hat into areas where they would compete against Universal or Disney though. They seem to do well in areas where they don't have to directly compete, so it makes me wonder if they are looking at these kinds of markets.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I'd wager they are more likely to try to buy out Rosen Shingle Creek than ever try to build a Golf Resort on their own. Given its proximity to the future park(s), that would be the path of least resistance. I think Orange County already shot down the idea of try to extend Kirkman Rd down to 528...

SeaWorld may be up for sale. Who should buy them?

I can honestly see Universal making a play for SeaWorld's Orlando location. I'm not very certain of them retaining the live animals at the park, but I can see them transitioning it over time. Probably a big selling point (or buying in this case) would be Aquatica being right next door, and...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Sure. For the eastern end of their property now it does make for a nice barrier between the future park(s) and other businesses. They certainly have enough land for now to do some interesting things. Going to be very interesting to see what they do next.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

That really raises the question as to why they bothered even buying it then if that is the case.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I think along those lines the South Kirkman Rd extension all the way down to Destination Parkway will likely be given the green light with Universal chipping in on the project. With the slight enlargement of the center property with the added plots that a large lake or retention pond in the same...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Ok, so after going over pages of the legalese (painful), I've noticed the following: The quit claim deed assigning all rights, etc. to SLRC had the term "Less and Except" which I had missed. i.e. they retain ownership of the following plots or pieces of larger plots. The 4x OHL stay with Stan...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

IIRC, the plots didn't have any pending foreclosures, so yeah clean transfer. Hold on to the map though. Reading through the deed docs and I found what looks to be 4x more transfers from OHL Holdings, yet another Stan Thomas holding company. Also, you missed a spot on the north end of Rosen...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I found the actual court documents showing the transfer of ownership, but for whatever reason my post keeps getting blocked. Fourth Quarter did in fact sell them to SLRC. The County Appraiser's site takes 30-90 days to reflect any property sales. The other plots sold still show as being under...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

This map is slightly inaccurate. The two parcels on the north end right by the water treatment facility (one of them is shaped like Nevada) were included also included in the sale. (previously owned by Fourth Quarter properties - Another Stan Thomas affiliate). Yep. There are a few additional...
