The whole conversation began with the suggestion that voice actors in animated films could and should be replaced with AI. So no, I have not changed my focus. Which animatronics were you referring to in your previous post?

It is a human skill. I have not abandoned that position. I’m still baffled by your claim that my view is funny. What performances are you referring to in the parks that aren’t dependent on human skill?

Why? Characterisation in all animated Disney films is reliant on human skill, from the animators to the voice actors. Would you disagree?

Guys, take a step back and recognise what’s going on here: you’re arguing with someone whose sole intent is to make Disney look like they don’t know what they’re doing, an aim that’s reached such absurd proportions that he now has us defending Disney for not ditching real-life actors in favour...

Because it’s still acting, which is a uniquely human skill.

"Perfectly acceptable" isn't good enough. Since it seems you don't ever watch the films you keep posting about, it's neither here nor there to you, but as an actual fan of Disney and Pixar movies, I want to hear talented voice actors rather than soulless bots.

Because just as AI can’t write as well as humans, it can’t act as well as humans either. Those of us who actually watch the films in question care about their quality.

Thank you for your detailed response. As a casual Indiana Jones fan (I can’t claim to know the films well), I liked it at least as much as the third installment.
